I think this would be great for a few reasons, such as creating an incredible atmosphere of dread and tension as the snail slowly approaches our heroes at all times. Furthermore, the reveal of how the monster works creates a very interesting moral dilemma, as our protagonist has to pass the burden to someone else with deception in order to be truly safe. While revealing the inner workings of the monster is generally seen as a taboo in horror movies, I think it works exceptionally well here as the origins and true nature of the snail are still a complete and total mystery. What are your thoughts? Do you think it could succeed as a movie? Could I start a kickstarter for this idea?
