this especially happens in a lot of shonen because of page limits, they've gotta fit everything they wanna do in a regular chapter into 20-30 pages tops, and manga outside of shonen jump will also do this just because writing longer chapters also means more and more work and time spent hunched over the desk drawing, but it's definitely more common to see like 40-50 page manga chapters in non-shonen works
