The GoB is Gil’s primary Noble Phantasm, and a representation of the various treasures he amassed during his lifetime. Within it can be found innumerable weapons, vases, elixirs, jewels, pieces of art, and whatever else you can think of. Available exclusively to Archer Gilgamesh, as his older, wiser, and enlightened form (Caster Gil) was said to have given all of his treasures away to the people of Uruk near the end of his reign. Gilgamesh formed the prototype for later heroes such as Arjuna and Hercules, and thus he is honoured in Fate as the “First Heroic Spirit” and “King of Heroes”. This is also represented through the GoB, which contains not only Gilgamesh’s personal treasures, but functional prototypes of every single other Noble Phantasm (with the exception of Divine Relics such as Excalibur). And that’s still not it. Gilgamesh represents the potential of humanity, as in his tale he chose not to side with the Gods, scorning them and favoring the human race. The “power” of humanity to tell stories is a major theme in Fate, and as the first story ever conceived and basis for all others Gilgamesh is also able to access everything humans have created and will create. Cars, boats, food, nuclear bombs, fidget spinners, weird futuristic spacecrafts - as the Throne of Heroes exists outside the time axis, within it can be found all of humanity’s accumulated knowledge/“treasures”.
