my personal take why TC is taking this path, theyre just going past the scope, and often times theres situations where they could see a light a for a release date, but never really reach it

take the Xbox thing for example, they probably consented with it like
Xbox "Do you think you can finish the game within 12 months"
TC: "Maybe? I mean what dev doesnt wanna finish their game?"
Xbox: "Ok- XBOX IS PRESENTING SILKSONG AS ONE OF THE GAMES RELEASING IN 12 MONTHS"
TC: "Uhh sure, well just ride and see if we can hit that 12 months period. If we do good, if not we just deconfirm that we cant hit it"

so this seesaw back and forth kinda puts them in the predicament inbetween of "why update we can finish the game within this period" and "ok shit we actually cant", so at this point theyre not talking so might as well go all in and update when the game is finally finished?
