I liked the movement and combat mechanics of HK because of how seamlessly connected they were, but the new options and rework of the combat look really fun and doesn't look like it sacrifices any of that. Movement mechanics and their integration into combat and bossfights seem just as important

The jump was a bit inaccurate for me, maybe that’s just my controller, and the dash always goes to an exact spot so dashing lacked a bit of control, the pogo was hard to time and didn’t launch me as high as I would’ve thought but other than that I don’t really have many complaints

I never found dashing imprecise at all. It's not like press button and you go a certain amount of distance, but you can hold or let go at any time and it gives you a good amount of control in the air that many games don't.

Let me explain this better. Hold the button for longer, you get more height and air time. Just tap it and your jump is shorter. You can use your joystick or dash midair to change your direction and trajectory at any time.

Basically HK's jump always puts you in control, so it's up to player skill and experience how precise you are.

It's precise in a different way than say...Celeste because dashing in Celeste has a certain momentum to it that HK doesn't. You still have some control of your jump height I guess, but not to the same degree and not much control of you direction mid-air either
