Like my number of played hours/completed runs is probably in the bottom 10% of this server, I don't play most games a whole lot and don't generally care to get into repeating content to master mechanics ala Path of Pain, and yet Hollow Knight remains one of the most stand-out experiences I've ever had with a video game.

tbf narrative wise, it still made sense for HK given that 1. its vague enough that its confusing at first 2. you can excuse that the reason the knight goes through all that shit is that its just calling out to the instinct of its purpose
