Roguelike means specifically no meta-progression, if you die you start over from scratch with no advantage. Roguelite means it has meta-progression, you die but keep something which you can use to make the next run easier.

- the length of travel and direction they attack your fort is based on how far you are from that site that sent that attack
- the population actually impacts them, if there are no goblins in that site, then non can attack you
- attacks are based on how much wealth youre generating but ONLY due to word of mouth. Ie a liason will go to your base, see your wealth and artefacts, spread it around so that more traders outside knows that you have potential for profit, but it also becomes a double edged sword because now you are more attractive for attacks
but the liason can only gauge your fort wealth based on what THEY see, so if hide your artefacts, they wont really know. That being said, goblins will send spies as guests to scour your fortress, know your true wealth, and then scale the attacks based on that
Rimworld is like "uhh lets roll a dice to decide which faction attacks you, and how much they send to you"

and that point online was that much fun as i didnt have anyone else to play with, cuz unlike Portable 3rd and Freedom Unite, i didnt have the same PSP buddies (lost contact to them at that point and they dont own the 3DS)
World was diff cuz its like so much more easier to connect with randos and all my new college/present friends plays it so we can easily jump into it when we have the mood
