I switched to spell focus on my latest playthrough, but was legit not having any fun. After losing 36 or so times to Pure Vessel in HoGs, I switched back to Strength, Quick Slash, Mark of Pride, and Grimmchild and beat him in only a few tries. Grimm was there for emotional support cause Sharp Shadow kept throwing off my spacing.
That was also my first time beating PV and I am still feeling excited about it

Good luck. Uumuu can at least be finessed, but Zote is one of only two boss fights I legit hate in this game (Traitor Lord is the other for the dramatic drop in difficulty after I figured him out. MMC gives me more trouble than that loser now.)
