I think the issue with Defenders in World is that it's quite misleading, they propose it to you almost right at the start and it's like "Well that's a straight up better gear so I must use it right?" like I don't think It's clear enough but whatever it's no big deal

i joined servers to try and find regular hunting parties, bc when i felt like multiplayer i was constantly bogged down with these shitty players in my lobbies

they were inescapable

In those community there will be people to tell you "You should use the optimal stuff" like okay bro but I don't want to overthink my whole life about optimizing my gear to get 2% more damage and 1% more health
Both applies to MH and Terraria

I end up being pissed at the game if I do that

Frankly in my opinion the biggest difference is the fact that the monsters get distracted by other hunters fairly regularly but I don’t play that much online so that could be wrong

I think it does yeah, at least on World multiplayer felt "simplier" as in the tasks and positionning is shared so you don't have to care about monsters movements as much as in solo
