I think I might know what you mean
I got out of that rut by playing outer wilds (you'll like it if you like to take your time exploring games and wondering at the world, you won't like it if you dislike reading)
Rain world (I like it for similar reasons to outer wilds, but you have to contend with a steep difficult curve and a lot of frustration at the beginning)
disco elysium (if you like good writing and characters then this is definitely the game for you. It's gameplay is kind of lacking though, as it is basically just conversations)
