honestly the earlier amnesia games im not a massive fan of. the monster encounters in those games are the kind where the monsters are on rails and only deviate if they see you which im never a fan of. every encounter is scripted and theres a set way youre meant to deal with it which always takes me out of it. on the other hand The Bunker takes the kind of approach where whether or not you encounter the beast frequently is entirely up to how careful you are not to attract it, of course with a couple scripted/forced encounters mixed in because otherwise you could theoretically go the entire game without encountering it

tbh I see Isaac characters more as challenges than anything else when you do progression, so I'm fine with it. + at some point if you've enough knowledge and experience you can gamebreak almost 90% of the runs so it doesn't really matter what you play lol
though I don't gamebreak because it's just not really my jam I just know how to do it
