The thing I liked about Diablo 3 was the "adventure" like you can see your character evolving rather quickly when doing quests and it was fun

When it comes to farm to find items to actually progress it felt really slow and it loses the adventure vibe imo

The main point of poe is its building complexity which WILL be overwhelming

And I understand it's not for everyone

You can take any class but won't be stuck in any build by doing so because choosing a class only makes you start at a different place in the MASSIVE skill tree

But also each class has 3 different paths later and once you reach the post game, the post game itself has a skill tree which helps in choosing what you like to do more

Or you have 1 hp but only chaos damage can kill you
