If you're a tryhard type of player, this is actually pretty fun to achieve for most of them. I was confused by like 1 or 2 but all are very reasonable if you make up strategies and reshape your playstyle around the constraints

I do find this very refreshing once in a while between runs

They also act as a tutorial sometimes and tryharding gold ranks will probably just train you a lot for regular runs anyways so I'm okay with it

if you miss a single standoff shot you lose as far as i can tell

Just because your ISP gives you a certain maximum speed, it doesn't mean you're always going to utilise 100% of that. It also depends on factors such as wired Vs wireless, where you're downloading from, the speed your ethernet cable or ports can handle, and the speed at which your hard drives can process and write down information. It's very easy for one thing to bottleneck the rest.

how to get robomando

Check out all this shit!!

In order to obtain robomando you have to!!! First start a new run specifically on drizzle difficulty. This will not work if you are not on drizzle. Get all the way to level five- go to either the far right or left side of the map. There will be a big ass pot that you have to parkour too. Once you open that pot you get a battery active item that does absolutely nothing. After obtaining the battery don’t die and proceed to providences ship (the final level). Once you get there- get a keycard. Go to the cabin in the bottom right of the map. Open it with the keycard and go to the broken part of the room on the right. Jump off the cliff and quickly get into the secret hole below. There will be 3 dancing golems and a boom box. To the right in that room there is a secret invisible wall that you have to go through do some platforming and a chest will appear- put the battery inside this chest and let it teleport away. Proceed to die or beat the game then start a brand new run! On this new run you have to play SPECIFICALLY on rainstorm now or it doesn’t work. Go to the second level and you will find the chest you teleported from the previous run somewhere in that level. Buy the chest and open it and you will get the battery back. Apon getting the battery. Proceed to the third level. Kill the teleporter boss but DO NOT TELEPORT. I REPEAT DO NOT TELEPORT. you have to wait until the clock in the top right reaches EXACTLY 22 minutes and zero seconds. After that IMMEDIATELY hit e on the teleporter. Look around level 4 for a broken red toy robot commando. Give him the battery and die to him. If you kill him you will have to repeat actually everything I just said. Once you die you will unlock robomando!

I think for RoRR the aiming thing is super helpful due to not all enemies staying on the same level nor side of you at all times.

The flying enemies do come to your level a lot and stay on the ground from time to time but being able to just flip flop between sides without feeling stuck or clunky in aiming is important and helps make things more fluid without sacrificing the design aspects of 2D RoR
