but with a prequel theres so much hoops of "actually Hornet was going easy on the Knight"/"They were expecting in making a sequel so they couldnt account for Hornet's new ability"/"Hornet couldnt connect with weaver powers or tool access which is why she has none of that in Silksong"

like wtv stuff we do in Silksong ends up being stunted as we know how shell end up in Hallownest and all that progression will be almost for nothing

actually my other issue with bloat is in systems in general

theres games that throws so much in the combat system but in the end you end up using like one mechanic anyway and ignore the rest, some games get past this by making you require to interact with them once the game has a higher difficulty setting
