Ok yeah even though I think hk’s environment design is still great along with the art direction in general, Silksong definitely improves it with not just improvements in technical skill but also a lot varied and vibrant environmental design. Silksong has coral forests, bright green mossy areas, lava lakes, entire-ass cities, while still having cooler and darker areas, whereas Hollow Knight, while still with variation, has its areas still feeling like variations of the same big cave with not as much variety in colorfullness.

In terms of mechanics or sumn idk, but I would like to see some explanations or connections to HK/Hallownest in some form, because even if Pharloom is an entirely different kingdom, and thought should feel different and unique, it is still part of the same world.
I guess one thing I’d look forward to is some explanations around Jinn and Jiji, since they both reference their “masters” and one of Sharpe’s allies (and just the general “steel” motif) resembles Jinn. So far it seems like one of the lore mysteries most likely to be expanded upon and I look forward to that.
