its kinda like a balancing issue where sure you can use these (ie traps or wtv) but its more simpler to just fucking shoot them and get the scenario over with
having to setup traps and what not usually isnt required unless its an RPG and youre playing higher difficulties but even then, there are otherways to break the game and make it as less tedious

whereas a mage will most likely get hurt during the phys check BUT can avoid a boss fight due to their higher intelligence/diplomacy

so they add an extra bell/platform that the other crests cant use (mobility wise, im not saying the platform will physically appear or not based on your current crest), but youll need for the 4th crest
