But yeah even though DS1 isn’t strong in terms of core gameplay, the areas and world-connection and lore is worth it enough to give it a shot, and it also helps you get used to general souls formula

The absolute best in the trilogy and also probably my favorite game From has ever created is Dark Souls 3, gameplay-wise it’s a huge difference from 1 and it’s much better imo, only thing is progression is way more linear and streamlined in ds3, which is good but bad if you’re looking for that ds1 freedom
