What do I mean by this? So theres in game currency right? You expect to purchase shit with it correct?

Well you do, but most of the stuff that you will buy will be cosmetics for guns, no you cant use it to buy supplies or risk losing it from other rival ships, gold is just a means to decorate and buy costumes and what not. The skins themselves dont have other properties except for visuals, you dont get a better accuracy or more ammo if you get better gear, the game is pretty much just an entire horizontal line progression wise

The PVE is pretty repetitive, its basically go to X Island and get item then sell it to a port, and honestly its not really that engaging and i found the story quests to be walking sims and people talking exposition at you

So what will you play the game for? Largely for the PVP and interactions. The lack of item progression means that you will most likely be always in the same playing field as you are with other players. The PVE component is just a means to drive in PVP conflict. Meeting other ships, interacting with them through VC etc is the main component of the game's "fun"

Exploration honestly isnt really that special, just like what i mentioned, its just a proponent to get you into fights with other player ships. If youre the type of guy who wants a game where ship sailing is risky the cost of losing stuff from other pirates, its not the game youre looking for. Nothing can be stolen from you except supplies

What you really play it for is again, the player interactions

But personally? It wasnt fun. I was hoping for some progression and having tension from losing those items, but you dont even have a lot of risk except for people stealing the treasure you got
