hey, my scarab will not run correctly, but all of the mods i have installed still work, but whenever i try to open scarab, i am met with a blank grey screen and a pop-up that says i need to install the latest version even though i am 100% positive i have the latest version installed. i clicked the button that said "Get the latest release" and uninstalled scarab then installed the latest version, but i still got the same issue, and when i hit "Continue anyways", i still got the same grey screen. i looked in my files and didnt see anthing wrong, i tried running as admin and restarting my pc as well but nothing worked. do you have any advice for me?

im here about something similar to the above message because that happened to me too except when i tried to install the newer one my computer or malware protection quarantined scarab.exe and now i can't have it. took it away

i have tried reinstalling CKC in like 50 different ways and the first time i opened it, it worked temporarily but now it does this every time

Custom Knight Creator
CustomKnight Creator is a sprite program that seeks a more intuitive approach to creating CK skins.

Reset CustomKnight Creator Memory
This should fix errors that prevent the program from opening.

  • Press the WindowsKey + R at the same to time to bring up the "Run" window, then enter %appdata%\..\..\CustomKnight Creator and press Enter.
  • Delete the savestate.json file.
  • Run CustomKnight Creator again

so I know this isnt concidered modding but ppl said its better if i come here
so im messing around editing some stuff in save files, most of the changes i make work but theres a couple of things i cant do, for example when trying to make it so ive learnt some of the nail arts or trying to grant myself pale ores or trying to make it so ive saved all of the grubs and more. itll just revert back,
so yeah anyone know whats up with that (ping me if you do)

so theres a couple of things Im having issues with trying to edit save files

whats the amount of pale ores you have called in the save files? cause I searched for pale and pale ore n stuff in the text nothing popped up, the only similar thing I found was an Ore value, which whenever i changed just reverted back, so is that it if so how do i change it without it reverting back, if not what is it called

what stat differences does the pure nail have with the other ones since changing the nail in the save file appereantly didnt change its stats, I already know the naildamage should be 21 but I dont know what else to change/what to change it to

some things I try to change just revert back, as I said, for example the ores (wether it is the pale ore or not) or if i try to change the amount of grubs Ive saved and a couple other things, trying to change them will just revert them back, so im guessing maybe the game has a chain system where some other things have to be checked as true for you to be able to check the other thing as true, and if thats not the case it reverts back, but yeah just in general, how do i change some of those things that dont seem to change

There is a pin in modding discussion about Custom knight creator and spritepacker that includes tutorials and how to reset CKC if is fails to open. CKC is less stable than Spritepacker and crashes when trying to pack certain sheets, so I always recommend spritepacker over it anyway.
