Also scarab simply doesnt care. It remembers wich ines you enabled on it it doesnt actually check what mods you have installed

Um hey
I currently have like 10 mods enabled + the mods that are needed
I installed some mods that add bosses from another games and I want to ask how it works. Do they replace bosses in the base game or do they add them?
Also, in the top left corner in the game menu I see that all the mods I have enabled work, but I only see 5 mods in the mod menu, do the other also work?

There has been somebody porting some skins, but 1. If not done right you can brick your switch 2. You can get banned from online Nintendo stuff 3. Can’t switch skins in game and need to redo the process for each skin since it’s not done with the normal mods, instead it replaces the game’s asset files

?saves Try deleting your globalsettings files. If you’re on windows you can just run this file to do it https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/879138066961424405/900956017951649822/Global_Settings_Reset.bat otherwise go to your save files path and delete any file with global settings in it’s name.

Piracy is not something that is supported in pretty much any "main" community for a game, and that includes modding communities.

HK Modding is only supported on the official Steam version, the official GoG version, and the official Microsoft Store version.

How to fix Installer Errors
🔹 Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
🔹 Make sure that the installer has been Extracted from the .zip and that the new folder isn't in your Downloads folder.
🔹 Right-click the installer file, and select "Run as Administrator".

To manually install mods on 1.5.78.

My game won't open? I was playing for a bit today, but it froze two separate times. I thought it was because of a glitch in one of my mods so I went to uninstall it since I never use that one anyway. Then Scarab told me about the latest update, which I installed. I think I had two versions of Scarab installed at one time. I think I may still have two versions of Scarab installed but I deleted the old version and can't find anything else related to it in my files.

Now my game won't open if I have the API active. It brings up the loading bar but stops once it's full and I have to alt+f4 my way out.

I'm getting a bug every once and a while when I've been messing with the mod menu where the menu persists after unpausing and it won't let me pause the game again until I walk through a transition, after which it will bring up the pause screen again with the old menu still displayed overlapping on top of it. Only solution I've found so far is to close the game altogether and restart. Are there any better solutions to this?

That sounds like you're getting some kind of menu storage. Are you doing anything in particular before it happens? That's certainly not a common effect from any mods that I'm aware of.

Not specifically that I can remember. Its happened with multiple mod menus. The only thing that is really common with when it occurs is that it happens when I've been in the middle of adjusting settings and going back and forth between the game and the menu a lot

Also, the version of Scarab that you use is irrelevant. Scarab just moves files around, it doesn't directly affect your game in any way.

This typically means that at least one of your Randomizer mods didn't install correctly, or is out-of-date from the others.
Right-Click Scarab and select "Run as Administrator", then uninstall all of the mods you have that are related to Randomizer (including the dependencies listed for Randomizer 4), then reinstall them.

When you triggered the bug, you had the Mouse cursor hovering over the menu option, but used the "select" button on the controller. Because of 🍝 , that probably caused a glitch where multiple menu instances opened. The Modding API kinda has to re-create the menu, and having two different input-sources over an option has been an issue in the past.

So like, if you use the controller, then make sure you didn't leave the Mouse over a Menu option

Fun fact: I used to use this "bug" with how the cursor responds to the controller A-press to warp with Benchwarp on controller, by leaving the cursor in the spot where "warp" would appear

ahhh now I see what you mean; reminds me of the one game where the any% was literally just pressing something like the input for right on two different input devices simultaneously in order to use the menu to warp somewhere that shouldn't have been unlocked yet. I think it was a spongebob game? don't remember it well enough lol

Well, I feel bad for requesting so much help here today, but I have one final issue. Sporadically around the map there are certain spots where all I can hear is a constant wailing (not like a grub) that also emit essence particle. I was messing around with the debug mod trying to figure out what exactly was there in the one spot and it looks like there was just a random invisible gorb? https://insights.gg/dashboard/video/5ely38MoY4btYapithPwKk/replay I'm really not sure what to make of it. Part of me is wondering if it's something that's supposed to act like a paper town so that cheated gameplay could easily be distinguished from legitimate gameplay. Either way it's driving me insane. Reset CustomKnight Creator Memory
This should fix errors that prevent the program from opening.

Press the WindowsKey + R at the same to time to bring up the "Run" window, then enter %appdata%\..\..\CustomKnight Creator and press Enter.
Delete the savestate.json file.
Run CustomKnight Creator again

after doing a bit of modding and using infinite notches and all i got this problem were when i use a charm it goes to the left and when i remove it it comes from above to its slot and i have no mods on while having this issue and its only for this save not other ones and also i used more saves to bring a backup before this happening and it didnt fix it

idk if moresaves allows it, probably doesn't, but you could moresaves edit your save to not have charms equipped (aside from voidheart)

you could try:
unequipp all charms and save and quit the game,
then go to https://bloodorca.github.io/hollow/, uploading your save file there (?saves for the save file location), search for, i think equippedCharms with ctrl+f, and in the list of numbers directly after it, only let 36 stay, which is voidheart

i have a little problem, i was messing around with the debug mod while doing pantheon of hallownest, i was trying the "kill all" button (on top right), but since this button doesn't work properly with false knight so i tried to kill him with my nail, the problem is that now i can't hit any enemy, i tried to fight hornet inside hall of gods but it doesn't let me hit enemies with my nail anymore (only with spells). when i hit some enemy it pushes me back (because of knockback) as usual, but the enemy doesn't get hit, literally nothing happens besides nail knockback

Heya, I need a little bit help with Scarab's new version installation milliS

I recently switched PC's, and reinstalled Hollow Knight / Scarab with no problem. ( Scarab directed me to a new version installation ) Now, I'm trying to Extract the new files to the Hollow Knight Steam folder ( directed to by the pins ). Whenever I try to Extract it, it says that a file in the folder is currently open and needs to be closed to complete moving the files. There's probably a simple fix, but I'm currently blind to see it!

How to fix Installer Errors
🔹 Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
🔹 Make sure that the installer has been Extracted from the .zip and that the new folder isn't in your Downloads folder.
🔹 Right-click the installer file, and select "Run as Administrator".

Can someone help me identify a glitch? It happened to me while playing and it let me access the quickmap in situations where I wouldn't normally be able to, namely canceling the Crystal Heart dash into quickmap and having the dash stored while being able to move. I haven't been able to replicate it and can't seem to find what glitch it is searching online. #hk-help suggests it might have to do with a mod I have installed so I though I'd check here
