I don't know much about steam deck, but I do remember a person mentioning that it tried to default launch the windows version of HK using proton, instead of the Linux version, and that that was causing issues with modding. There should be a setting to manually change it back to using the Linux version

there is a chance it saves files on a reinstall . The only thing you would have lost is skins so it shouldn’t be too much to get them back.

Hello everyone. I have a problem with a mod but I need to give some context. I'll try to make it short!

After playing HK on console I decided to buy a PC copy and play around with some mods. I readily installed **lightbringer **(because, why not) and tried to play the game that way. I got bored after a while and started missing the original experience, so I deactivated the mod and went on normally.

Flash forward quite some time later, there has been the 1.5 update, so I changed mod installer (turning to scarab) and after a break I reached basically the end of the game... Only to find out I miss an entire life mask. In other words, I have 8 instead of 9 (without any charms). I checked the wiki time and time again if I had missed 4 mask shards, but no, I have all of them.
It took me long enough to figure, but... I finally realized that in the mod lightbringer the player starts with a mask less! (4 instead of 5) Apparently deactivating the mod (and even updating to 1.5, and changing mod installer) did not solve the issue.

Am I stuck with a mask less, potentially ruining the run (since I wanted to challenge the Pantheons and I figure the game is difficult enough as it is)? Is there any way to recover it, or do I just have to chadly proceed with an handicap?

As for other mods, I am just using CustomKnight and installed EnemyHPbar.

its not a big deal but if you jump and you open your map, your char will kinda fall down slow

I wanna practice speedrunning stuff, but its hard when the enemies suddenly feel like they have a lot more health as i then lose sync with patterns. Like the spa? Spa should work fine (I think), otherwise, I think the game dies since it doesn’t know where to place the knight. I was at one point gonna make it possible to do that (mainly for path of pain in pantheons) by specifying where the knight should appear, where they can exit the room, and where they go depending on the exit. I'm trying to get the Easier Pantheon Practice mod to work, I've got scarab and it downloaded, but for some reason it gives me "Failed to call constructor" when I try to load the game. I haven't had this issue with any other mods, but this is the only one I didn't download through Scarab, so it's probably an easy fix, but it's just beyond me, haha. If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

Check Scarab, and make sure that you have all of these Installed and Enabled

EPP isn't for the current patch, afaik. It was for an earlier version of 1.5

It got pretty much entirely replaced by GodSeeker+ and/or HoG Extras

I was able to get it to work on my old saves, though I used debug mod and gave myself all the charms, didnt check their locations
