this isn't really modding but i figure this is the most accruate place to ask. so i have hollow knight on my mac, but i got a new pc, so i want to transfer my save files. i have the user1.dat file on a flash drive, but the problem is that the hollow knight version off of microsoft store doesn't seem to have any files in the hollow knight folder. the only files there are AppConfig and Player. No user files. I tried playing for a bit, sitting down at some benches, then quitting the game and reloading into the world, but nothing has happened. one think i've noticed is that the player folder has gotten bigger by a few kilobytes. like maybe 20? so does anyone know where the save files are stored on the hollow knight microsoft store version?

hey i had a issue a while ago on hollow knight pc version and i found a temporary fix but never found a permanent one it pretty much is something where i cant save and quit to main menu, and i know it has to do with save file and im just coming back to hollow knight on pc and would like to get rid of this problem, my current sollution is whenever i need to save i just save by pressing yes (it doesnt take me to main menu) and then go to the saves folder and delete the previus save there, but this is rather obnoxius and has detered me from doing mods, if anyone has a solution in mind plz help me

this isn't really modding but i figure this is the most accruate place to ask. so i have hollow knight on my mac, but i got a new pc, so i want to transfer my save files. i have the user1.dat file on a flash drive, but the problem is that the hollow knight version off of microsoft store doesn't seem to have any files in the hollow knight folder. the only files there are AppConfig and Player. No user files. I tried playing for a bit, sitting down at some benches, then quitting the game and reloading into the world, but nothing has happened. one think i've noticed is that the player folder has gotten bigger by a few kilobytes. like maybe 20? so does anyone know where the save files are stored on the hollow knight microsoft store version?

• HKMP is the mod that lets you see other players in a game. It's unrelated to Rando itself, but can be used together.
• ItemSync is what lets you collect one thing and it goes to all players
• MultiWorld is all players stuff being shuffled among all worlds. The normal version of that isn't on 1.5, but there is Archipelago. AP has it's own website, with tutorials on how to use it.

Scarab and Butterfly do the same thing as far as installing mods go, they just visually look different and have some slightly different features. But the mods themselves will never be different based on the installer you're using between those two

HKMP does require some setup to play if you're not using the public servers

That message just means that you didn't properly connect, which could be for any number of reasons. Most commonly, it's because the person that's connecting isn't putting in the correct IP or Port

The port is the part that the host decides, and it can be any valid port number.
Most people use 26950 as a default
