Notice about a recent common problem causing lag spikes

The latest Custom Knight update appears to have a bug that causes massive lag for some users. If you experience game freezes / lag spikes after updating, then you will need to either:

disable Custom Knight, or
manually install the previous patch, found here
https://github.com/PrashantMohta/HollowKnight.CustomKnight/releases/download/v2.0.1/CustomKnight.dll (To manually change back, just download this .dll file, then press "Open Mods" on Scarab, open the "Custom Knight" folder, and replace the .dll that's in the folder with this one)

The mod author (Dandy) is aware of this bug, and will have a fix posted as soon as they can. We will post again when it is fixed.

just a quick question. I want to make it easy for a friend to get matched up on the mods for multiplayer. can I just zip the mods folder up, and have them extract it on their machine, will Scarab detect them?

Notice about a recent common problem causing lag spikes

The latest Custom Knight update appears to have a bug that causes massive lag for some users. If you experience game freezes / lag spikes after updating, then you will need to either:

disable Custom Knight, or
manually install the previous patch, found here
https://github.com/PrashantMohta/HollowKnight.CustomKnight/releases/download/v2.0.1/CustomKnight.dll (To manually change back, just download this .dll file, then press "Open Mods" on Scarab, open the "Custom Knight" folder, and replace the .dll that's in the folder with this one)

The mod author (Dandy) is aware of this bug, and will have a fix posted as soon as they can. We will post again when it is fixed.

Hi, I’m currently working on a custom skin right now. I tested out the process by just making the idle animation. No matter what I do, the atlas does not update, and I’ve triple checked my images to make sure that they’re different

Once I’ve updated the images, I click the atlas in the skinpacker, check it, and once checked it says I’m good to go, so I pack it. But the atlas still does not update

I suggest you to go back 1.5 if you downpatches for hollowpoint

hiya, back with another question: what exactly is the state of autosplits on linux? is it possible? is it theoretically possible? i know autosplits work by looking at the memory of the game as exposed by… a mod, presumably? but idk how different the memory layout is of the linux version of hollow knight versus the other versions

If you're not playing rando, you just enable them in Settings -> Mods -> SkillUpgrades
(there are individual toggles along with the global toggle)

Can you just count the number of notches you have and equip that same number of charms?

for some stupid reason, every other mod work but when i try to use custom knight, the game just default to the unity default scene
