Notice about a recent common problem causing lag spikes

The latest Custom Knight update appears to have a bug that causes massive lag for some users. If you experience game freezes / lag spikes after updating, then you will need to either:

• disable Custom Knight, or
• manually install the previous patch, found here
  https://github.com/PrashantMohta/HollowKnight.CustomKnight/releases/download/v2.0.1/CustomKnight.dll (To manually change back, just download this .dll file, then press "Open Mods" on Scarab, open the "Custom Knight" folder, and replace the .dll that's in the folder with this one)

The mod author (Dandy) is aware of this bug, and will have a fix posted as soon as they can. We will post again when it is fixed.

I’ve downloaded some mods with scarab, but whenever I open hollow knight on steam it instantly crashes without saying anything. Do you know what the problem is?

Notice about a recent common problem causing lag spikes

The latest Custom Knight update appears to have a bug that causes massive lag for some users. If you experience game freezes / lag spikes after updating, then you will need to either:

• disable Custom Knight, or
• manually install the previous patch, found here

heyo, so i notice dthat the new update of custom knight has been causing a lot of lag, and someone told me to downgrade CK by downloading the DLL of a past version. I deleted the DLL for custom knight 2.1.0.0, and replaced it with the DLL that they linked. the lag stopped so thats good but the actual custom knight doesnt work, I'm not able to switch any of my skins. hey, I've installed scarab and a few mods by using it. However, it seems to just have no affect on my game. I'm not getting a loading bar while booting the game, no text in the top left of my screen, and just no mods present in my game. Any help is appreciated, thanks

Hi so i want to make the game 21:9 and all the tutorials just make it like smaller? like it stays in 1920x1080 but the top gets cropped out more yet the first time i did it, it worked? but whenever i even fully delete the game and stuff it doesnt fix it, idk what to do, i just wanna play game in my monitor size

Yesterday I had an issue with the GhostHunter mod and someone suggested that maybe the Scarab version was broken

If you updated custom knight recently, that's the issue. There is a problem with a recent version. You can either check if the mod was updated again, simply disable it or install manually the previous version

Notice about a recent common problem causing lag spikes

The latest Custom Knight update appears to have a bug that causes massive lag for some users. If you experience game freezes / lag spikes after updating, then you will need to either:

• disable Custom Knight, or
• manually install the previous patch, found here
  https://github.com/PrashantMohta/HollowKnight.CustomKnight/releases/download/v2.0.1/CustomKnight.dll (To manually change back, just download this .dll file, then press "Open Mods" on Scarab, open the "Custom Knight" folder, and replace the .dll that's in the folder with this one)

The mod author (Dandy) is aware of this bug, and will have a fix posted as soon as they can. We will post again when it is fixed.

hi i need some help with custom trial , i have 1.5 , mod installed with scarab launched the game to generate the json , pasted some already written waves and stuff , when i get to the trial , nothing comes up i come back to the folder and i find this :
