I played with the 1.4 API a year ago. Today I downloaded Scarab, tried to open the game, and crash. I verified integrity of game files; vanilla game booted fine. I removed "AssemblyCSharp.dll.m" and got Scarab to redownload it so I know I have the right one. I tried to open a modded instance with no mods activated, got a blank black screen with a cursor. I tried to install a mod, got a crash. I have cleared everything out of my "Mods" folder except what Scarab is putting there. Even when I have Custom Knight and Satchel installed but not enabled, the game crashes instantly.

Solution:

• Click "Open".

Ah - your modding API seems out of date, I think. Can you open Scarab, and see if there's an Update API button on the left?

• Download QoL and Vasi from Scarab (QoL should download Vasi automatically) (all this does is make it so there are more helpful error messages)

That’s what hkmp tag does the work around is to uninstall. what you may wanna do is make a folder in hkmp name it disabled addons and put your addons in there so you don’t lose them

It looks like you moved the scarab exe file away from the other files it was with. It requires the code from those files

So just either put it back, or add those files to wherever it is

This occurs when ur game is installed in a folder that requires administrator privileges to add or delete files, just run scarab as administrator and u should be good
