Hi, I tried to play a randomizer and I ran into a problem that's caused by the QoL mod (when I disabled it everything went back to normal)
The mod list in the corner doesn't show itself, I cannot pause the game at all and when I come up to a pick up and, well, try to pick it up the game bugs out and I cannot do anything.
Any help please?

Scarab is built for the current most recent patch (1.5.78.11833 colloquially known as 1.5) If you want to use scarab up-patch your game a guide for which can be found in the pins📌 . If you would prefer to stay on 1.4.3.2 Install modinstaller 1/2.

🔹 Download scarab from the GitHub page linked below.
-If you are on Windows download only Windows.zip
-If you are on Linux download only Linux.zip
-If you are on MacOS download only MacOS.zip

•Scarab will work with only the three OSs listed above, Additionally note there is no need to download any other file then the OS specific one 🗒️

🔹After Downloading the .zip file extract/unzip it & move the extracted folder to your desktop folder.
•Make sure you keep all the files that originally came in the zipped folder together while moving the extracted folder to desktop

🔹Once extracted to desktop run Scarab(.exe) found in the extracted folder.

If the option is there for you, you can use "Disable ModdingAPI" on Scarab. If not, then you'll need to use Steam's "Verify Integrity" option in the game properties

so uh ive been having a really weird skin issue

when i benchwarp into the hall of gods and challenge some boss, if i lose and respawn next to the statue, my skin is completely invisible

If you have something about it running (game option, or a file/folder open) then you may be preventing it from working

You need to export as a 32 but PNG

Iirc by default, Photoshop tries to export as 8 or 16 bit for pngs.

Verify on Steam:

Launch Steam.
From the Library section, right-click on hollow knight and select "Properties" from the menu.
Select the "LOCAL FILES" tab and click the "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES..." button.
Steam will verify the game files.

Verify on GOG Galaxy:

Launch GOG Galaxy
From the Library section, click on Hollow knight.
Click the "More" drop down.
Hover the mouse over "Manage Installation".
Click "Verify / Repair".
Confirm the request by clicking "VERIFY GAME" in the pop up.
GOG Galaxy will verify the game files.

Generally not much for reducing lag, try and minimize the mods you have on, if you can help it try not to have too many big mods on. You can also try this mod to help in some areas, mostly boss arenas, also colo: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/886460374113722408/943929483021393970/RemoveLaggyObjects.dll
It's also possible that the lag isn't performance related and may be an issue with a mod, your description makes it sound like not normal lag.

Game Pass:
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔸 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔸 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.
🔹Run Scarab as admin and paste in the path you copied.

Game Pass Alternative Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔸 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop), and copy the path.
🔸 🔹Run Scarab as admin and paste in the path you copied.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside.
