From what Geroyuni has found, the MS Store versions may just need to run Scarab as administrator. This is what their Scarab instructions are, and they're waiting to see if they need changed at all:

Installing Mods

🔹 Download Scarab

i've figured out how to get custom knight to work with hollow point

you simply need to disable hollow point, go into your save, pick your skin, go back to the title screen, enable hollow point, and go back into your save

also i had asymmetry knight installed when i did this, i don't know if that has anything to do with it, but it's worth mentioning

Thats what verifying integrity does, it checks the game files for missing/corrupted ones and replaces them

Oh, running as admin got rid of the errors I was getting. So that looks promising.

Hollow Knight seems to be much less locked down than the rest of the games from the Xbox App

ok, i think i can help here, assuming you're using custom knight, sometimes the sprite sheets will be multiple folders in, what you want to do is move all the sprite sheets back to the base folder

so it should be custom knight -> skins -> (skin name) -> sprite sheets

I made the knight bald for a sprite edit and tediously remade the top of his head in a photoshop document for every sprite in the game.

I'm now realizing that the way I did it was inconsistent across the animations, which makes it jumpy. Is there any way I can import the full sprite sheet to a program to view and modify the animation frames individually? I've never actually played the game and am new to the community, just wanted my first playthrough to be special so I'm turning the knight into a chicken. I've spent three full days on this and if there's any way I can salvage the work I've put in, I'd really appreciate the help.

How to use Scarab in Xbox Gamepass
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔸 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔸 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.

Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Second Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔸 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"

To get the addional weaver sprite, just change the name of the extra one to be the same that the first one

Has anyone else noticed a bug with BenchWarp? For some reason, I keep getting randomly teleported to King's Pass while doing Randomizer runs, and I cannot figure out why for the life of me. And no, I don't have the RandomTeleports mod.

you also should probably turn off the hotkeys option on benchwarp, especially if you're playing with KB. since you could be entering a hotkey shortcut to warp

Thanks - it seems there are a lot of errors in there so I can only guess as to what the error can be, but:

• Is it a MoreSaves file (e.g. you loaded a save file greater than 4)? If not, is it a non-moresaves file where you had a save in an equivalent slot (e.g. you're playing on slot 2, and you previously had a save in slot 6 or 10)?

• If neither of the above, can you upload your userX.modded.json file associated with the broken save file? (So if you're playing on slot 3 then it would be user3.modded.json)

Ah, then yeah that's probably the issue. IIRC, MoreSaves is still currently broken with Randomizer (And any mods that make custom save file things)

Ah yeah, it seems like what's happened is that the moresaves bug is breaking other mods (in this case benchwarp). I think for now I'd recommend sticking to just save files 1-4, and hopefully that will fix the current issues - and hopefully the moresaves dev/maintainer can fix the bug.

(If you want to back up your saves, it should just be the userX.dat that gets backed up. The userX.modded.json contains the modded save data, but that's not really working at the moment for moresaves files it seems)

Fix/reload skins if that doesn't work do this

1. Go to saves location:

Windows:
Press [Windows key]+R to bring up the Run window. Copy the entire save path below and press okay.
Save Files: %APPDATA%..\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight\

Save Files: ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Team Cherry.Hollow Knight/
Linux:
Save Files: ~/.config/unity3d/Team Cherry/Hollow Knight/
2) Delete all files that have "ModdingApi.GlobalSettings", "Benchwarp.GlobalSettings", and "Customknight.GlobalSettings" in their file name. (will be 6 total if you have benchwarp and customknight installed)

3. Run the game.

How to use Scarab in Xbox Gamepass
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔸 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔸 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.

Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Second Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔸 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop).
🔸 Copy the path bar then run Scarab and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside
