Public Servers have been UPDATED.

You must update HKMP to version 2.0.3 in order to use them.

The update adds some much needed server moderation tools, as well as fixes some glitches that existed with the chat box

If a mod doesn't show an update, then you can uninstall and reinstall it, which typically forces the update to install

Scarab and Scarab Troubleshooting
Scarab is the Mod Installer for Current Patch (1.5) modding.

🔹 Installing
Download: https://github.com/fifty-six/Scarab/releases/latest
_ _ - Click the .zip that matches your computer (windows.zip for people using a Windows computer)
_ _ - Extract the .zip, and then move the new folder out of your Downloads folder.
_ _ - Open the new folder, and run the Scarab exe/app (the other three files need to be there, but you don't need to do anything with them)

🔹 Scarab is BLANK! >:(
This happens when it's unable to connect using your normal internet. You can fix this by turning on a VPN. If you don't already have one, https://1.1.1.1/ is a trusted free one.

🔹 Scarab DOESN'T WORK! >:(

Make sure that Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
Try running Scarab as Administrator (right click it, then choose "Run as Administrator")

🔸 If this does not solve your problem, then please write a detailed message as to what is not working, and provide screenshots if possible. Note: Only the Official Steam and GoG versions of the game are supported for modding. Unofficial versions, or versions from other places are not.

i had the same problem. i just went into the finder and right clicked it, and clicked "show package contents". then i opened the contents folder and clicked on the macos folder. then at the very bottom there should be something that says "scarab" or something like that. just click on it and it opened for me.

I recently installed the randomizer 4 mod and started a few files with very simple randomization settings. One problem i found is that everytime i hit an enemy for the first time it would multiply into more forms of it self. This caused a softlock after falseknight because i kiled the wrong one, and a triple hornet fight. I looked through all the settings and couldn't find a fix so i thought to come here for help?

So I was playing multiplayer with my friend on a server last night. Today we wanted to play again and it was working for me. Then another friend that haddn't ever played multiplayer was going to play with us, they had a problem where it kept saying that "connection timed out". Then I was going to get a new skin and when I tried to re-join, I got the same "connection timed out" message. There is also another friend who is able to connect (they are on the same wi-fi as the server owner's), so I assume it is something on my end.

Locate save files: <#archived-modding-help message>
Locate save file of wanted save: user#.dat and user#.json, with # being the save slot number (1 for first, 2 for second, ...)
The game automatically makes backup save files, called user#.dat.bak+++, with +++ being a number, incrementing the latest the backup is (highest number = latest backup)
Optional: Manually back up current save file by copy pasting it somewhere else.
Rename latest backup save file (from 3.) and rename it to user#.dat (so remove the .bak+++ from the filename)
repeat until you got to the save where you didn't have the charms yet.

yeah, its a mod installer for a lot of singleplayer games. For Hollow Knight It has invincibility, infinite money/mana and unlimited jumps, but I dont have infinite mana on when I try to do the spell

🔹 Toggle "Controller Native Input" in the game, found at Main Menu ᐅ Options ᐅ Controller. Restart your game after changing it.

🔹 Use Steam's controller settings, enable Steam Inputs from the game properties, and check controller configuration support through Steam's Big Picture mode
