Verify game integrity and then reinstall scarab and your mods

Verify on Steam:

Launch Steam.
From the Library section, right-click on hollow knight and select "Properties" from the menu.
Select the "LOCAL FILES" tab and click the "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES..." button.
Steam will verify the game files.

Verify on GOG Galaxy:

Launch GOG Galaxy
From the Library section, click on Hollow knight.
Click the "More" drop down.
Hover the mouse over "Manage Installation".
Click "Verify / Repair".
Confirm the request by clicking "VERIFY GAME" in the pop up.
GOG Galaxy will verify the game files.

You can change the name of your first file(it has the number 1) to number 2 and rename number 2 to 1 and you should make a backup just incase

you could also try out randomizer, it doesn't necessarily add new content, but it does make playthroughs fresh

It looks like menu changer is having an issue with ItemSync

A. Personally, I wouldn't suggest using mods on a main save. Some mods make permanent changes to a file.

B. You can try deleting user#-modded.json, where # is the save number of the file.
You can find this file in your saves folder

I had the game in ps4 before, and then switched to pc, i admit at first I cracked it because I had it on ps4 and 1 or two months later I finally bought it on steam and deteled cracked files, but scarab mess with my hk and says it stop working, and even if I delete scarab from hk files it continues not opening, from that point I have to uninstall the game and reinstall it so it starts again to run the game.
