How do I find a skin's id?
oh you have to put the skins in manually, im assuming you have a skin file ready, but if you dont click the pins and scroll down until you see custom knight skins. After that download one, go to your mod folder, click HKMP and put the skin folder you downloaded in the skin folder. When you put it in, make a new notepad inside the skin you downloaded(only if one isnt already there), and make it say the number you want it to. After that, go into multiplayer, press skin id, and put the number you put in the notepad.

I accidentally clicked on the mod installer logo on my desktop, and it reinstalled it, and now anytime I try to open hollow knight a little window pops up with the knights head and an exclamation mark and then closes, and hollow knight doesnt open. Yeah, I use mostly Quicksave and Quickload. It's only one slot when doing that.
There is also multiple save states you can make, but I'm unfamiliar with using that, other than knowing it involves pressing the Save State button and then number on number row

scarab is very easy to use. you unzip, start the .exe, set your HK folder location, and then you can see all the mods
next to the mods you can click on instal and then you enable the mod, and its fine 🙂
just dont forget to close your game before modifying your mods
i modded a lot of games in my life and scarab is one of the easiest mod installer i ever saw for a game ^^
if a mod need another mod to work, it will instal it automatically etc.. very easy

My modded save is acting funky. All my enemies are immortal, I can kill them but a ghost version continues to linger and move around. Enemies that do damage by collision do nothing but anything that swings or fires projectiles still do damage. I've tried everything I can think of but it continues to be a problem. I've Uninstalled and reinstalled the game aswell as the modding api. Every mod is loading correctly and acting as intended. I can provide a list of mods I have installed if there isn't an easy and obvious solution.

The fact that it worked when you relaunched the game, and you had deleted stuff in between those events, is purely coincidence

It literally is irrelevant. You restarting the game a couple of times probably was very relevant though.

Sometimes exiting mod menu causes pause menu to not appear and the game to require a relaunch before you can do anything (some times benchwarp works)
while mapi is fixed, adding this mod and pressing f3 (changeable in settings) when you are stuck should close the menu and allow you to continue playing.
