This is my first time trying hollow knight mods out, and so far things seem to be working -- I put on Hollow Point, and it's done everything so far... except actually fire bullets. The gun makes a noise, and there's a muzzle flash animation, but nothing comes out, and nobody takes damage. There's a super long pause between me being able to actually fire the gun, too, and I can't figure out what triggers it being usable again. Does rebinding the game's controls do something to this, or have I just not gotten far enough in the game to unlock some key gun component?

Scarab's page not loading happens specifically because it's not able to open ModLinks

Usually, this is because the connection is being blocked for some reason

And that's why using a VPN normally fixes it

If the VPN didn't work either, then most likely your firewall or some anti-virus program on your computer is blocking it

but if you have third-party anti-malware programs, then those don't always ask

they just "helpfully" block stuff

If it worked in the past as a "fix", then it's almost definitely a coincidence.

Resetting the Scarab memory file isn't a bad step for troubleshooting though, so I mean, you could replace "verify" with "reset"

I'm having bluetooth xbox controller issues with mods. Without mods my new controller works fine, with mods the game stops taking my inputs. Any ideas?

I've tried toggling native inputs, I've enabled inputs in steam, I've tried uninstalls and reinstalls of mods and the game, nothing worked. I can verify that all of the mods work fine and have worked fine for ages, it's just this new controller that they don't like

hi i have a problem with mod custom knight. When i installed it was all good but when i chose the skin it didn't change so i restarted the game but then the mod disappeared from my mod options i tried to reinstall it and even hollow knight, but is doesn't work but in the corner where the mod list is showed it doesn't show that it failed to initialize

Hi everyone this is the first time i mod the game. just wanted to try the twitch mod but i keep getting the Failed to initialize! Check ModLog.txt error i already follow all this steps idk what is happening hope someone can help me with that

1. Go to saves location:

Windows:
Press [Windows key]+R to bring up the Run window. Copy the entire save path below and press okay.
Save Files: %APPDATA%..\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight\
Mac:
Save Files: ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Team Cherry.Hollow Knight/
Linux:
Save Files: ~/.config/unity3d/Team Cherry/Hollow Knight/
2) Delete all files that have "ModdingApi.GlobalSettings", "Benchwarp.GlobalSettings", and "Customknight.GlobalSettings" in their file name. (will be 6 total if you have benchwarp and customknight installed)

3. Run the game.

i first got mod installer 2 then downpatched to 1.4

then i repatched to current and then got scarab

i think i messed up big time
