Hey I got some help the other day, but am unfortunately still having issues with my controller when I am running mods. Everything works fine, until I press L2 or R2, then the game doesn't respond to any other inputs unless I click out and then back into the game. Any reason why this would be happening? I found a work around, but it's exactly that... thanks! Edit - Not using native controls, and have PS and Generic Gamepad config support turned on.

__Common fixes for controller issues __
🔹 Toggle "Controller Native Input" in the game, found at Main Menu ᐅ Options ᐅ Controller. Restart your game after changing it.
🔹 Unplug your controller before launching the game, then plug it back in on the title screen
🔹 Use Steam's controller settings, enable Steam Inputs from the game properties, and check controller configuration support through Steam's Big Picture mode
🔹 Use a program to map controller inputs to keyboard inputs, either through Steam or a third party program

I don't have a modding issue, but just a bizarre technical error and wanted to see if anyone else came across it. I'm on PC with a keyboard, just started a new game (I've already played it on this PC before), and I cannot down slash while moving left. So I can't nail jump at all in the left direction because either I hold left and down at the same time, and it won't register when I press slash and I fall, or I release left to down slash and then it won't register when I press left again to keep moving and I just fall straight down, if that makes sense. Moving right and down slashing works just fine, and moving left regularly and jumping left works just fine too, it's only when I try to move left and down slash. I've reset defaults and restarted the game, but it's still not working. Has anyone else ever encountered this issue? (I've already googled some help forums but can't find this issue anywhere)

No, “uninstalling” it is just deleting whatever files you downloaded. As long as a 1.4.3.2 installer isn’t run on 1.5 you’re good

Btw back to CustomKnight weirdness, might be a problem with the ModdingApi’s settings stuff. Iirc save settings has issues where a new instance isn’t initialized per creating save, so you can “clone them”, and it’s currently the mod’s job to initialize new ones. Could be a similar problem.

hey so idk if this is a modding thing but i seem to be killing the hollow knight (it took me about 10 hits to kill them) and radiance really fast (without using any spells too) but when i used the debug mod to see how much damage i was doing, it was a reasonable amount (considering i was also using unbreakable strength), does anyone know if it's an error or is it just me thinking i should be doing a lot less damage?

Okay so I’m in a google drive with all the skins but I confused myself and I don’t know how to get them in my custom file

Press "Open Mods" on scarab > open the "Custom Knight" folder > "Skins" > unzip the skin you downloaded > drag the skin into the "Skins" folder and make sure it matches the file structure of the "Default" skin

I just built Scarab on NixOS, but when running ./Scarab/bin/Debug/net6.0/Scarab it just returns immediately with no error message. Any ideas?

Going into the relevant directory before running (as per https://github.com/fifty-six/Scarab/issues/43) makes no difference.
