here is some of howw it works The way the system currently works is by sending the following data over the network: position, scale, animation (possibly with additional info), and state. The position and scale are handled automatically by the system, but the animation and state need to be implemented. The way to do this is by extending either the Entity or the HealthManagedEntity abstract classes in the Hkmp.Game.Client.Entity namespace.
The HealthManagedEntity class extends the Entity with functionality to handle entities that make use of a HealthManager component internally to determine when to do. In most cases, the HealthManagedEntity will be the class to extend, but in some cases (for example for False Knight, see FalseKnight.cs) the dying sequences will be handled differently and thus not use the HealthManager component.

If you'd like to make your own skin then:

  1. Install Custom Knight
  2. Launch the game and get to the room with whatever enemy you'd like to change
  3. Pause the game, open the "Options" menu, go to "Mods" then "Custom Knight settings" and scroll down and enable "Dump Sprites" and unpause. This will cause immense lag, after the lag subsides, disable the setting.
  4. Go to your Mods folder, found most easily by pressing "Open Mods" in Scarab, then go to \Custom Knight\Dump\(Scene Name)\ and look for the sprite sheet of the enemy you'd like.
  5. Upload the sprite to an art program and draw over it however you see fit.
  6. Head to the Swap folder, found in the Custom Knight folder, or if you want it to only take effect with a specific skin, there'll be a Swap folder generated inside each skin folder.
  7. Place the finished product into a folder matching the file structure of where you got the original sprite sheet. I.e. If you got the original sheet in say \Custom Knight\Dump\Deepnest_32\mimic spider.png then you need to place the skin in \Custom Knight\Swap\Deepnest_32\\mimic spider.png

@slender oakThis is randomizer bug if you don't get the dialogue box before the fight. Just warp back to the greenpath stag bench and the wall won't be there.
