So then yeah,

• Make sure you are both using the same Settings Profile (in the Rando menu when you're creating a new file, there's a sub-menu with an option to show settings code. Then copy and paste that to the other person, and they should "apply" the settings code.

• Make sure you're both using the same Seed

• Then it should randomize, and give you the Hash (4 enemy names). Those should match.

• Then it should ask if you want "Start Normal" or "ItemSync". Chooses ItemSync.

• It should pre-populate with a server IP. If not, use 18.189.16.129. It'll also have you enter a username and a room name. The room names must match exactly.
  When both players on in and "Ready", you should be able to start the game. Either player can press "start" and both games should start.

The HKMP part is un-related to the ItemSync part

colo 2 is the most efficient farming place other than forgotten tramway with greed on (kill all the dirt carvers that spawn and the flying enemies, then bench and do it again)

colo 2 efficiency depends on your speed to beat it. I think break even point between the two methods was 8 minutes to beat colo 2

Verify on Steam:

Launch Steam.

Select the "LOCAL FILES" tab and click the "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES..." button.
Steam will verify the game files.

Verify on GOG Galaxy:

Launch GOG Galaxy
From the Library section, click on Hollow knight.
Click the "More" drop down.
Hover the mouse over "Manage Installation".
Click "Verify / Repair".
Confirm the request by clicking "VERIFY GAME" in the pop up.
GOG Galaxy will verify the game files.

I have severe arachnophobia, and those damn foreground spiders are literally the only obstacle from getting 2 of my remaining 5 steam achievements, and I desperately crave seeing more progress on that front.

cut the contents from the 2nd folder (the one you're looking at right now) and paste them into the first CustomBgm folder. once you do that delete the empty CustomBgm folder you were just in, aka the one you're looking at rn

i'd presume you're on patch 1.5.78 since you recently downloaded it, which means you should be downloading scarab to play mods. there's a link in the pins where you can download it, make sure you get the correct one that matches your operating system.
once you download it extract the zipped folder in your downloads to your desktop. 4 files like so should pop out and put these into a folder on your desktop named "scarab"

after that, click on the "Scarab" and download Debug Mod, make sure to read the readme for more information
once you downloaded it, close scarab and run your game

then have fun

Heya.. Just a little update from me. So... emember I I could get mods on Hollow Night, because of XBox Game Pass... I managed to get the mods installer, by moving the game's directory. Manage(on the game options) - then Files, and changed the location of the installation, which created a folder I can access.. Then Mods were installed..

Yeah no matter what settings I turn on I always change back to the white skin when I go to another screen or sit at a bench

Yeah but it's a bit scattered at the moment. QoL is split into a collection of modules. Some of them only change one thing, some change several.

For the ones that change several, you can go to the mod menu (pause->options->mods->qol) and toggle some of them individually.

For the ones that only change one, you have to look at the global settings file (type ?saves, it's called QoL.globalsettings.json in the saves folder). Hopefully this will be changed in a future QoL update so the modules that onlychange one can be toggled in the mods menu too.

(SalubraKiller is in the "only change one" category, IIRC)

Basically you have to tell the mods, where your game is at. GamePass basically installs the game in a WindowsApps folder, you do not have access to. All I had to do is to move the folder. I have already installed the game,. From the 3 dots, of the menu of the game, in GamePass(When you open the game, but do not yet click play.. Click manage... ) Then flick on Files... The second menu from the top should have Browse(or something like that). Just move the game in a folder somewhere else. That way you will have access to it...
Then you can just install mod manager, and it will work...

I can't think of any main reason it'd be crashing, unless you're having hardware failure.

You can potentially reset your registry entry for it, but that will also reset all of your achievements.

That just means that it's an older patch. Like, if you crash when quitting to menu, then it's an issue with Native Input Controls.

That's the only consistent vanilla crash from casual playing that I know of though

2) The skin was applied at the main menu instead of in a game save (skins can only be applied while in a save)
3) Your skin folder is structured with extra folders (Structure should be:  Managed/Mods/Customknight/Skins/[Skin folder name]/[Skin PNG files])
4) You have Hollow Point or HKMP installed (conflict with customknight and require alternate actions).
5) If you used Custom Knight in 1432 and upgraded to Scarab, or you're experiencing the mods menu missing, or you cannot pick up geo, then you'll need to delete  customknight.globalsettings.json
