Well, there was rando 3.5 but that got taken off scarab, and I don't really know where the github for it is. Also, yea the UI is quite hectic in 4, but there's also the disable captions button in the bottom left, as well as all the extra features and add-on mods for it

and it's faster, has more customization options, easier setting sync, etc etc. It's like anything that's new/different, people say "this is worse" until they get used to it

For item sync, make sure you both get the exact same setting and seeds in the rando (you'll know if you did because when you click being randomization it'll give you a "Hash" of 4 enemies, those 4 enemies should be the same between players.) then after you click go it'll give you a menu where you can select "Item Sync", leave the base IP that is naturally there, and click the next button, then put in a nickname, and a roomname, room name can be anything but both players should put the same room name, and click ready. If it worked you'll see eachothers nickname in the top left, then just hit start

Those happen, I believe disabling custom knight helps with that, in the same way it helps with invisible THK. But I'm not really sure, it's a vanilla thing based on hardware that happens sometimes and more frequently with mods

Just bench often and if one room is consistently infinite loading then try disabling custom knight before going through that transition

Okay, can you press the "Open mods" button on your installer, and check the file path of the folder that opens. Then go to your steam library ( assuming you got it on steam) and right click HK > properties > local files > browse and check if it's got the same file path

I recently picked up a steam copy of hk to start trying out some of the mods available and it looks like a mod installer is available for v1.5 (scarab?), but I'm not sure which mods are available for that version, if any (mostly interested in randomizer). It seems most of the available mods are for v1.4, which requires downgrading the hk install. Any recommendations on which way to go? I'm on mac OS, if that matters.
