You just install it. It doesn't work correctly on a new save, so you need to Save + Quit, then join the save again

hey, does anybody know a fix for a softlock? every time I die i respawn at a bench and i'm stuck in the running animation, but I can't move, dash, jump, or get into the menu. also whenever I relaunch the save file and jump i just hover midair like i'm noclipping until I leave the room

I don't know how, but this is resolved. I uninstalled weaver core, which is the only really big thing I can think of that would have changed anything.

Hello, this is my first time modding hollow knight and I have a problem, at first, I install the first mod installer and change the version of the game to 1.4.3.2 then I installed the 3 randomizers and it was okay, but when I try to install the enemy randomizer and the enemy health bar my game didn't want to run.

Yes, you need to point the installer to wherever the physical installation of the game is, which should have the main hollow_knight.exe file, and the "Hollow_Knight_Data" folder

When it's done, move the entire Scarab folder (possibly still named "windows" if you didn't rename it) out of your downloads folder

then right click Scarab.exe in it, and run as Admin

Once it's open, it will have you re-verify your game install path

When that's done, click the "Change Paths" button, and double check that it is looking at the correct folder.
It should be a folder that has a "hollow knight data" folder inside of it

you may want to make sure you're looking at the correct folder for them though. A lot of people accidentally find Steam Screenshot folders for a specific game, or session, because it is really weird about screenshots and saves a bunch of different versions of them

If you used Custom Knight in 1432 and upgraded to Scarab, or you're experiencing the mods menu missing, or you cannot pick up geo, then you'll need to delete customknight.globalsettings.json

This .bat will clear customknight.globalsettings.json automatically (along with other commonly messed up global settings files):

Scarab is the mod installer for the games current patch (1.5), mod installer 1/2 are for an older patch (1.4.3.2). I'm not really sure what exactly is happening but it sounds like you're getting the wrong api for your game version, although it might be unrelated

I'm assuming you're talking about the little menu in the upper left of the pause menu that used to be on 1.4? If so then yea, it got moved to the mods menu

Well uninstall benchwarp fix, it won't fix your problem (most likely) but it isn't required and it's prone to breaking stuff

Which should be a surefire way to fix it, not really sure what programs to use on linux. I know joytokey/joy2key work for mac and windows, but not sure if they also work on linux

Not really you can give your self lantern through debug and in debug you can also hit reset settings in the binds menu to make everything bright but you have to hit it every room you enter. Maybe use a hot key.
