Basically CustomKnight+, a mod I’ve been making for a while allows you to create your own spritesheets, just define the positions and sizes of sprites on there and you’re onto the next step! Reconstruct the animations you want to replace, give them any amount of frames, speed, ect. And with the advanced editor mode you can make it like an actual mod (requires knowledge of the game’s code)

I'm not familiar with any cheat engines for HK, although I know cheat engines in a few other games, and they're usually just for cheats, not mods. Also, there's that the mod installers are very safe and easy to use, where as I don't think many here can or would vouch for a cheat engine you downloaded online

My main problems with this is that it doesn't really help with their current problem, you're assuming they don't already have a 112 save, and it's very possible that's not what they want, in fact they said they wanted the hollow point mod earlier so they could easily want a new save
