To play Multiplayer Randomizer:

🔹 Change to patch 1.4.3.2
Instructions on that here:

🔹 Use Mod Installer:zotebroke: or Mod Installer 2 :omegamaggotprime: to install RandomizerMod3.0 (which should auto-install the other mods you need: Benchwarp, QoL, ModCommon, Serecore, and Vasi). You may also want MapModS if you want maps of what you can get to.
Note: ModInstallers can be found in #archived-modding-help pins, or by using ?i in chat

🔹 Decide what kind of Multiplayer Randomizer you want to do:
Pick ONLY ONE, you cannot use both.

Take the mods from the zipped folder, and put it into your Mods directory.
Note: Those .zips come with a copy of randomizermod3.0. Don't use that one, it's slightly older. The one on Mod Installer is the most up-to-date right now.

🔹 When you're setting up the run, it'll ask for a URL. Use 18.189.16.129 for that. Then you both join the same room name (keep the name lowercase).

🔸 You can additionally use HKMP (Hollow Knight Multiplayer) if you want to see each other / interact with each other while playing.

Well, it depends what mods you're trying to get, but generally yea using scarab is better if the mods you want are on there. Or I can try to help you with your issue, you cleared the globalsettings files (while the game was closed) and now mod names aren't showing up in the top left corner, is there a mods tab in the options menu still?

On the title screen > open the options menu > mods tab > more save settings > edit a save > select a save file (1 being the top slot 4 being the bottom slot) > use the search bar to look for "charm" > change all the "gotCharm_#" to false, these are the charm ids, use it to keep the ones you already had > apply changes and load the save to test it

Open it, and look for "Modding API" on the list of mods, is it installed and enabled?

Then it's possible the installer is looking at the wrong game files, try resetting it (instructions for resetting the installer: #archived-modding-help message)
Then run it again, when it asks you about the file path, select "No" and manually path it to the game files. To make sure you have the correct game file locations, go to your steam library > right click HK > properties > local files > browse > check the file pathing

It's saying that because you got the wrong installer for your game version, you should be using Scarab, which has custom knight and randomizer (although not some add-ons to randomizer) available

Same here. I'm so EXCITED!!!! I almost gave up on the game completely when I couldn't beat P5 all bindings. It will be nice to have a fresh challenge in the game that doesn't feel like I'm digging a tunnel with a spoon.
