ever since I updated to new version of scarab, I'm not able to pick up any geo, not even using gathering swarm. It still makes the pickup sound, but just stays on the ground. Also not sure if it's related but custom knight also stopped working (it doesn't show up in the mod menu but does in the top left) the two mods I was using were moresaves and customknight, moresaves seems to still work fine. Anyone know what I can try to fix this?

im using 1.4.2.3 mod installer and I downloaded like half the mods but the second half of them just dont download then the modinstaller crashes and I have more than enough storage, i also have the error if you need it (I have not tried just downloading one at a time instead of in bulk)

If you're talking about the "Multiplayer Client" and "Multiplayer Server", those are only on 1.4, but they're outdated. Instead you should be using HKMP, available on both patches but only on the 1.5 installer #archived-modding-help message

I recently changed patches because on linux because my 1432 patch didn't have controller support so I was looking for something more updated
I followed this and there were no effects
I was also trying to do a clean wipe of modding and found this #archived-modding-help message, I noticed there were other .globalsettings files in that folder but I wasn't told to delete them, should I have?
I thought I'd be able to get the "first run" behavior, with the prompt to select the folder and all, after I deleted all files and reinstalled the game, but I haven't after several deletions and reboots. Can I get some help on installing with Scarab?

I think I broke something by deleting the "mods" folder when I was trying to delete all of the HK modding stuff manually, but I have no idea how to fix it because uninstalling the game and Scarab then reinstalling both doesn't recreate the mods folder

Scarab doesn't open correctly on MacOS
🔹 Move the file you downloaded (mac.zip) to your Desktop
🔹 Double-Click it, and Scarab omegamaggotprime should appear
🔹 Right-Click the Scarab icon, and select "show contents"
🔹 Go into the MacOS folder, and then double-click the "Scarab" file.

Fwiw, you can run SFCore without HKHKHKHKHKHK; you can't run HKHKHKHKHKHK without SFCore though.

Without steam or GoG Galaxy, you'll probably have to re-install the game to fix it, assuming you do have a legitmate disc copy

i was installing a custom knight skin when it said i gotta replace some files in Hollow_Knight_data, did the process and when i launched the game it says "PreloadData" is missing, replaced the modded files with normal ones and its still showing, what the heck im supposted to do

Extract .zip.

Open Scarab and install Satchel.
Then when it's done, click "open mods folder" at bottom left.
Move the Custom Knight folder into the mods folder.

(Double check: directly inside of the Custom Knight folder, there should be a CustomKnight.dll . If there isn't, then you have an extra folder on accident)

For the only person I've interacted with about it, they didn't have the fiber installed at all it seems. I'm not sure if it's failing to extract the .zip?
Like, both modlinks and Scarab updated, so it's hard to tell which broke.

Apparently in addition to Custom Knight, God Seeker Plus has been giving people issues.

There's an Easy Mode mod on Scarab iirc. You may want to disable "don't lose shade on death" though, because that breaks the game until you have a key item.

Important:
If you want to play a mod that's not on 1.5/Scarab yet, then you'll need to do the following:

Steam users can opt-in to a "1.4.3.2 Beta" patch, found in Properties > Beta > then selecting it from the drop-down list. You do not need a code! See the attached image for a visual guide on doing this. Note: it takes a few minutes to revert the game!

GoG Galaxy users can opt to download 1.4.3.2 by opening the game settings in the GoG launcher and selecting it from the list of patches.

MacOS users

You probably just need to reset your global settings file for it.

Is there a way to have the bindings mod be quicker to toggle on and off without having to reload my save file every time I wanna take a break from AB practice?

Turning it off in the mod menu seems to bug and the soul bar, nail damage and health gets restored albeit not visually, but I still can't have charms and it removes all my charms whenever I go through a loading screen. The only way to fix this has been reload my save and that's tedious.

?pins I’m not sure if that mod is on the most recent version of hollow knight, but I know it’s on 1.4.3.2. You can either revert to 1.4.3.2 and use a mod installer for 1.4.3.2 or get the scarab mod installer (for 1.5) and check if infinite notches is on there. Infinite notches will also permanently give that save file infinite notches unless you save edit it out (methods of save editing in the same pinned message as the hollow point soul fix), links to mod installers and his to revert to 1.4.3.2 in the first pinned message

Sorry to interrupt but I need help :(. I'm trying to install Scarab CustomSkin mod on HK 1.5 but after a few seconds when I click install Scarab crashes and doesn't complete the installation of the mod. It doesn't leave any error message, it just closes. Sorry for my English I hope it is understood u.u.

Don’t search for mods outside the installers unless a youtuber has used them in the last 2 years

#

Either they’re incompatible with all other mods including the ModdingApi (probably your case) or very old and won’t work on current patches

so the installer worked fine, but mods aren't showing in the upper left of the title screen?
