agh
having a few issues with my mods
The game keeps crashing when I try to load it, half the time a unity loading thing comes up and then closes, along with my game, the other half the time it says a breakpoint exception occurred. I've tried closing the unity window but it doesn't work. When I verify the integrity of my game files, it says one file was missing, a few hundred megabytes of download iirc, and reinstalls it, but when I boot up modlauncher again it causes the same crash. The only mods I have open are benchwarp, enemy hp bar, modcommon, rando3, and serecore. I have a handful more installed, but not enabled

so I recently downloaded the scarab mod installer and I am currently using the custom knight mod, and benchwarp, and debug (although i havent done anything with it yet) plus some godhome stuff. the problem I came across is when i try to start a new save file the game doesnt load properly and the screen is not where it is supposed to be so I cant play unless I exit game, then reload the save and it fixes itself. this only started happening when I downloaded the mods. any fixes?

Install them from Scarab, not sure what google drive you're talking about, but if it's the readme one. Those are for 1.4.3.2, not 1.5. Just click the box next to "Installed?" on scarab

Mods requiring you to replace that file should not be used if you want to use other mods too, the mod creator did not make the mod with the ModdingApi and therefore it’s incompatible with all other mods as it replaces the file the ModdingApi replaces (the ModdingApi is what loads mods)

You may want to use EnemyChanger.
You can use Custom Knight's Swapper, but currently it can be a technical (you essentially need to use the "scene dump" option in the menu, in the room with the thing that you want to "swap", so that you can see the file structure for it).

EnemyChanger is a lot simpler to use for stuff like that at this time, but you'll need to look up the readme for it (just googling "EnemyChanger hollow knight github" should pull it up.

So then yeah, be in the room with those bosses (for Hornet, you'll need to be in both boss rooms if you want both). Then in the Custom Knight settings, there should be an option to "dump". Press that, then close the menu and wait around for awhile. Probably just walk away from your computer for like 5-10 minutes

we are both in a hamachi group, we have dissabled 4 mods (fury fix, hall of gods extras, godhome plus, and custom knight) ive gotten rid of all my hkmp skins from its folder (in case it was causing the invisibility due to a skin error), ive left and re-entered the room multiple times, we've swapped who is hosting, we've restarted hollow knight a few times, and nothing is working

I can't remember what HKMP uses specifically, do you have satchel installed? Then, are you sure you're using the port 26950? Are you both connecting to the hosts IP? Does it say connection successful when you click connect?

It’s possible to get a couple custom skins (probably modifies the unity asset files, hence only a couple work since those are the only ones that have been done), but if it’s possible to modify the code in a way similar to or the same as the way we do it on pc then it might work

You can either use a mod installer or go to your steam library, right click hk, click properties, click local files, click verify integrity

#

Some files will fail to validate (meaning they’ve been modified/modded or deleted) and they will be returned to their original state

hey um i just started doing mods like minutes ago and there are all these really intrusive menus all over my screen and the hide menu button doesn't do anything i have mod installer 2 and the mods i've installed and enabled through it so far are custom knight (i don't have any skins yet), debug mod, enemyHPbar, grimmchild upgrades, modcommon, modding API, moresaves, and show hitboxes. so does anyone know how to get rid of all the menus?

Press f1, and more saves and debug mod are glitched together. You can't use debugs buttons, you have to use the binds menu and then use hotkeys, or uninstall moresaves (This is a 1.4 exclusive thing)

Well, I'd say maybe try switching to ZeroTier, it may work better. Or you can try connecting to the public server, which doesn't require any VPN

guys i have one more problem with latest randomizer. previously for whispering roots it was a massage, that shows the reward and you can accept challenge. now there is no massage and if you dreamnail root and collect everything you will get nothing 😦 and one more thing - there are no rewards on stag stations now... anyone knows is it all ok?

3.5 has been known to be buggy, not sure if it will be fixed since it’s just a port of 3 to be used until rando 4 is released

Replace the Steam part of the path with SteamLibrary and see if it works

Click at the end of Steam, then add Library, then press ctrl + s to save
