when it finishes installling each part and finishes vasi it comes up with Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click COtinue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit the application will close immediately. The proccess cannot acces the file 'C:/tmp/HKmodinstaller/LICENSE' because it is being used by another process.

Sorry late response, I'm not certian which dependency that needs but it's probably SereCore or ModCommon, but also make sure you have SFCore and FrogCore

Make sure the installer is on your desktop, and that you run it as administrator. Then navigate to your mods folder (for windows and steam: head to the steam library > right click HK > select properties > local files > browse > \Hollow Knight\hollow_knight_Data\Managed\Mods\), once there delete anything with Custom Knight in the name, files and folders. Then try again. Leave the folder open and let me know if it gives you the same error after that

Yea that's a well known glitch, either navigate to your save files and edit the globalsettings file so that "noshade" is "false", or if you want the noshade feature there's a fix that sets you back at the dirtmouth bench every time you die

Well last time someone had this problem there was extra files located inside the unzipped custom knight folder. Essentially it just had a second set of duplicate files so it was like \Hollow Knight\hollow_knight_Data\Managed\Mods\Custom Knight\\Hollow Knight\hollow_knight_Data\Managed\Mods\Custom Knight\ when it should just be \Hollow Knight\hollow_knight_Data\Managed\Mods\Custom Knight\Default\Sprites, then just add skins in next to default. So you may need to restructure the folder

That's how hollow point works

It explains it in the readme, but essentially soul is now used as ammunition and you heal when you get enough hits on enemies without taking damage

This chat is fine, modding discussion also works. But it happens when you get 3 adrenaline and then continue getting more hits. So if you don't get hit you can heal multiple times in quick succesion

Hi,
I recently downpatched hollow knight and have two versions installed, (1.4.3.2 & 1.2.2.1) so that I could attempt speedrunning the game. It went successfully and I was able to run 1.2.2.1 fine. I then went to open hollow knight 1.4.3.2 from steam in the start menu. I was unaware of this at the time, and entered my main save file, which had 108% completion. When I went back out if the save file, I noticed a discrepancy, the completion had changed to 105% and godhome wasn’t unlocked, even though I had beaten p1 on that save file. I searched online and found on the Hollow Knight Reddit, a way to revert a save file to a previous backup. I followed this tutorial and renamed the user1.bak(save number) to user1.dat. After doing this I launched the game

It shouldn't, but you can always back up your saves if you're worried about it. Also it's generally good to back up saves, especially while using mods of any kind

Just downloaded the modinstaller, while i was downloading the redwing mod I cancelled it and got an error. I picked quit then the modinstaller just crashed and now when I open hollow knight the language is completely different and theres no option for english when i tried to change the language

sorry i haven't been on finally got a new computer my old computer broke one day while playing hollow knight. guy at the computer store said that my drive unraveled like a loose thread in a tshirt i didn't even know that could happen. i lost seven years worth of stuff and now i have to upgrade my computer drive its too small on my new computer can't even put itunes on it. i bought a new drive online but i need to find a place that will let me bring my own drive and just charge me for the labor and is cheap any ideas?

Quick question, just got the mod manager and all is working well, when hitting escape along the top of the screen it says all the location names for what i assume is a teleporting mod but all the options are red indicating i cant use it. Which mod do I turn on for it to work? Thx

i made a few files for a custom skin, but i can't seem to actually pack them using the spritepacker?
every time i check it gives the following error, though i'm not sure how to fix it:

this happens whenever i hit the "check" button, so i never get the chance to try and pack it

question: is the modinstaller.exe 32 bit? I am on Mac OS running mono, as the ModInstaller 2 is no compatible with the 1.4.3.2 patch, and the pinned guid says to run mono --arch=32 which would switch to 32 bit, but it seems the Catalina update removed 32 bit compatibility on mac, so I cannot run it. Could I get any help?

this happens because the sprite you are editing is reused somewhere else so it needs to replace it, when this text appears you click on the option that you have edited then click replace, once it has done that, check the sprite again then you should be able to pack it

you also need to select the atlas the sprite is on before you check

ok, I am trying to get the multiplayer to work and to host a server, I created a zerotier acct and successfully created a network which my friend also joined. However when I put the network IP address in and use the port already listed I get an invalid port message or a connection failed message.
Now I'm also seeing stuff about using Hamachi. Which should I be using?
