The changed damage is stored in your save file

To revert to vanilla
Go to your steam library, right click hk, click properties, click local files, click verify integrity, wait for it to say files failed to verify, then wait for it to reinstall those

You can verify integrity of game files to uninstall the ModdingApi, or just go to 1.5(this reinstalls the game so it will revert all changes to the game files)

I installed the non MW rando version from homothety but it still displays the MW version from shadu in top left and when joining a game it has a diff amount of geo compared to the non MW version
so idk how that can happen that I install a different rando mod version but still have it act like the same

something strange is happening to my hollow knight, the game won't let me save and quit, which i need to do to fix hollow point's start up. no matter what i do i can't save and quit at any point at all. doing so just flashes the save icon and then puts me at no. i don't know if its a mod or what but i'd like to know what is happening. mods are as follows: bench warp, enemy hp bars, hollow point, more saves, multiplayer client and server, QoL, and Vasi

Well you can alt + f4 to close the game, it could be a problem with moresaves but I think others have had a similar problem. Are you using mouse and keyboard or controller?

in the debug menu in the top right there should be a page called "Items" or "Skills" can't remember which one has dash but look for the icon of the cloak and make sure it has a glow behind it

Well you don't need to disable you can just uninstall, but if you want to fix it, navigate to your mods file and in it create a folder called Disabled

First, ensure that the modinstaller isn't in your downloads folder, preferably it should be on your desktop. Second, make sure to run the installer as administator. Then reset the modinstaller using these intructions: #archived-modding-help message
Also, you aren't having this problem yet but you might. Make sure the game is downpatched to 1.4.3.2

Hello again, so I got the Modinstaller and installed the charm mods I wanted, but now I cannot open Hollow Knight on steam;/ It says "you do not have permission to open the application". Does anyone know how to handle that?

I downpatched it btw, not sure if that accounts for anything. I'm normally a console gamer so this is all pretty confusing...

Steam can take a few minutes to do the downpatching. It's possible that you may have tried to run Mod Installer before it was done, in which case you may need to follow the steps in the "if mods still aren't working" part of the first pin.
Also, if you haven't already, look at the Team Cherry post for Mac users. I haven't checked it in a bit, but I know they were updating it with info that Mac users may need to know.

?pins First things first check out the most recent pin and learn how to downpatch, second download the installer, there are several installers in the pin, modinstaller 1 is the radiance.host link and modinstaller 2 (better for mac) is the zip labelled with an OS name

To fix that, you'll need to reset your installer, it's likely looking at the wrong location for the game so make sure you path it to the correct spot. Which should be (for steam/windows) Steam/steamapps/Common/Hollow Knight Make sure to stop on the Hollow Knight folder that has the Hollow_Knight.app in it. To reset your installer follow these steps:#archived-modding-help message

Also just to be safe, ensure that the modinstaller is not in your downloads folder, it preferably would be on your desktop but anywhere that's not downloads is better, and make sure to run it as administrator

I've tried downloading the skin how it's normally done but it didn't work out. Maybe I'm downloading a different type of 'Daughter of Hallownest" because it would just make the Hornet Sentinel fight harder.

Yep, normally you'd just move a skin folder into another folder, but I believe it's slightly different. In the google drive I showed you, download the folder, and once it's download inside it should be a README folder with the steps you need to follow

So, make sure both hollow knight and the modinstaller are closed, then navigate to %appdata%/../Local and delete the Modinstaller folder, after that reopen the modinstaller, it should ask you something along the lines of "Is this the correct installation path", or it'll ask you where your installation path is. To ensure you're leading it to the right path, go to the steam library > right click hk > properties > local files > browse > Double check the pathing of the folder and ensure that modinstaller is using the same pathing
