If you download QoL mod then open a save, it will create a JSON file. You can open that in notepad or something similar and you can edit various things, which should include which maps you have

Inside the zip is there a series of folders that eventually lead to some
a regular skin? If so you can just use just those files to use it as a regular skin. The rest of the files will change other things about it

When you unzip you can just copy the folder which should be named "hollow_Knight_data" and paste it in the same place as the folder of the same name

Well it is a dependency for Randomizer and something else I think, so it might've been installed automatically. But just to be safe, you might wanna just delete everything that has "globalsettings" in the save files

Okay, well check a couple things then. First, make sure that bothplayers, have modcommon, and multiplayer client, but only the host has mutliplayer server. Second, double check hamachi, make sure that neither user has a red circle or a yellow warning triangle. Third, ensure that both players are using the ipv4 address, the port as 26950 and that the host connects to their own server first. If none of that works, then it may be better to use a different multiplayer mod called "Hollow Knight Multiplayer" or HKMP, it's apparently more stable and just better overall but not on the installer yet https://github.com/Extremelyd1/HKMP

I've tested in the base game and in the godseeker mode and in the debug mode, but pressing Q like the game told me to do isn't doing anything. I can try again, there wasn't a way to spawn any enemies in godhome, but I've been trying in the base game as well with no luck.

I can't leave godhome in godseeker mode, it was a new file, but just to make sure I wasn't missing anything, I started another new file, gave myself the fireball spell, and acquired adrenaline, and still I couldn't seem to activate anything. I also made sure to sit at the dirtmouth bench to see if abilities can't be activated without a conversion kit

Did you exit the save, exit the game, then open the game and open the save? Hollow point glitches right after creating a save, so you need to restart the game after creating a new save

idk why or how but somehow menudropping into the water in distant village (doing randomizer with no other mods aside from the ones that come with it) made it so I can't open any menus (on keyboard or controller) how does this happen

FWIW going back to patch 1.4.3.2 changes almost nothing about the game. They basically tried to fix a load of stuff, broke it instead, and the latest patch is mostly a reversion back to 1432, apart from a few backend differences and like... One functional difference in the watcher knights fight

So this might seem like a weird question. I heard that switching of Vsync reduces some of the input lag hk has, tried it and I did seem to react to my inputs quicker. But my screen starts tearing up, I have an integrated intel hd card, and it always seemed to have a problem with screen tearing without vsync.
So is there a way to disable the ingame vsync and use some sort of external thing to remove my screen tearing?

The name is just a joke. If there's not an option to change it in the main menu (which, I think there's not in 1.4), then save and quit, and you might be able to change it in the global settings file

Mods are getting prepared for 1.5
There is a development build, and some mods for that build.
There currently isn't a 1.5 mod installer though, so it's all manual; the 1.5 API is also still being updated very regularly, and isn't in a "stable"/release state yet.
All this on top of, if HK updates again (which I'm pretty sure it will), then all of that breaks again lol

@willow girder to fix the problem you have to manually go to the mods folder an delete Easier P5 Practice and download the newest version from the installer names Easier Pantheon Practice.

Because of the name change, the modinstaller doesnt auto update the mod for you. and also because of the name change the modinstaller will allow you to have both Easier P5 Practice and Easier Pantheon Practice which will cause both mods to not work properly (hence the manual deletion)

I highly recommend CustomKnight, guide and skins in the pin. Randomizer is fantastic and helps you get better at learning the game map. And redwing or lightbringer are great for mixing up normal gameplay. Or you can go with any of the numerous boss change mods

I just got the Hollow Knight ModInstaller and I want to use the Debug Mod. When I click on the README and look a the installation settings, there's a link for me to copy and paste to get the modding API. The problem is that when I copy and paste it Google tells me the URL cannot be found.

There's two modinstallers, they're pretty much the same but with a few minor differences. If you got the installer from the radiance.host link you have modinstaller 1, if you got it from the zip files in the pins that's modinstaller 2

Did you make sure to path the installer to the Hollow Knight with the actual hollow knight application in it?

If you aren't getting the option to path it, you'll need to reset the modinstaller. Follow the steps in this message to do that. If you don't know where to find your Hollow Knight folder, I'm not too sure where it is on GoG, but on steam you can right click on hollow knight, select properties, go to local files and click browse, and it'll take you to the right file. See if you can find something similar to this on GoG #archived-modding-help message

In mod installer 8.something (also known as mod installer 1) look to the bottom of the installer. If the uppermost button at the bottom of the installer says enable ModdingApi or enable all installed mods or something like that click it

Also make sure the lever on the uumuu statue is set to uumuu before disabling or uninstalling Uuwuu

Otherwise uumuu will be inaccessible until you reinstall it and set it to uumuu
