I think this should be my last question, but how do I set the charm to the highest number? I've gone through the readme and tried clicking things, but there isn't any clear explanation that I can find. I can click on 'overcharmed', but no other clicking seems to give me any results.
Also, thank you for all of the help so far, I never would've been able to get any of this done on my own.

I do, and clicking Charms lets me see the fragile charms, grimmchild, and the kingsoul, and the overcharmed status

Clicking on kingsoul should change the number next to it, each number represents a state, I believe it's 0 unobtained, 1 left half, 2 right half, 3 kingsoul, 4 voidheart

It doesn't seem to be working thus far. Although, I'm really only playing in the pantheon. The void heart's presence shouldn't have a significant impact, right? If not, I can just play without it, even if it'll look strange after having spent so much time with it.

Not on the menu, or in the console. It might be a mod conflict, but I disabled the charm mods before trying again and got the same result.
But, if I'm just in the pantheon, it should be fine, right?

Well you can always return to birthplace to get the egg anyways. But yea lol. Also if most of debug isn't working that probably means you don't have modcommon

Well that probably wasn't it, okay try doing it manually. Press "Windows + R" and paste in %APPDATA%\..\Local\ and delete the Modinstaller folder

Go into your folders in finder to find the file named "assembly-csharp.dll"

It should be that folder there, but go and check to see if that file is there. If it is, copy and paste the dll and xml files that are in there into it.

It will replace your old dll file with the new one and add the xml

Unity/HK inherently have some issues with some controllers.
ModdingAPI also does somewhat mess with controller inputs too for some reason, primarily on 3rd part controllers.

If that doesn't fix it, then yeah I don't have any other suggestions. It sometimes helps, but not always.
I don't know enough about the problem itself to know if it is something caused by modding API directly, or caused by the game possibly requiring more resources when modded, and causing issues if maybe your hardware isn't powerful enough or something.

A couple things to go over, make sure both players have ModCommon and Mutliplayer Client, only the host should have Multiplayer Server. Next, make sure you're both using the hosts ipv4 and the port "26950", also make sure that the host connects to their own server before the client. And finally, check hamachi and make sure neither you nor your friend have a red circle next to your name, or a yellow warning triangle
