I've downpatched, erased my ModInstaller folder in APPDATA so I can use the installer fresh and neither my mods nor the installer will work. Running the installer gives me an error before opening and only showing me a Manual Install button. I've tried running the modinstaller as admin and nothing changes.

Fwiw, IIRC the only reason Xbox Pass / Windows Store version can't be modded, is because by default games prevent tampering with that store, however teamcherry could actually mark their game to allow modding nowadays (I think I read that the option was added last year?), and it would act like the other two versions.

It's a really weird place feeling mod imo--
Like, it adds a good amount of difficulty to the game, and makes the game experience feel very different. But also, it's missing something that makes it feel as fun as regular HK. Like, the combat doesn't feel as interesting, because of the delay on the attack.
I feel like if someone were to ever go and try to update the mod, and rebalance it a bit, it could be really really good though.

So I followed FireB0rn’s tutorial on how to download the mod to get custom skins in hollow knight(along with using 1.4.3.2.) I downloaded some skins and put it where he said to put the folder containing the pictures for it to work. I open the game and choose my current one, and it is not showing the skin. Well it should be pretty simple, just check in the top left corner of your main/pause menu, look for either 'MoreSaves' or 'ModCommon'. If ModCommon isn't there, close the game, launch the installer, and download mod common. If it is there but you also have moresaves, close the game and uninstall moresaves. It's likely missing modcommon but I think moresaves may cause that issue too

Possibly that a 1.5 thing. I don't remember HK having borderless as an option, although I never play in Fullscreen. 1.5 is largely adding features like that though, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was one of the things added in it.

Well I don't think you'd even be able to connect if this was wrong, but make sure you both have mod common and only the host has the server mod. Also make sure hamachi is working right.
