It's not a scaling issue it's literally rendering multiple menus

I believe the API makes it so some controllers don't work, if you wanna use your controller you can use a 3rd party software, I think Joy2Key is good if you're on windows, to map your controller inputs to keyboard inputs

In addition to what River said, you can try just having your controller unplugged when you launch the game, and then plugging it in when the game is at the main menu. That works for some people, but not for others.

If you play the Steam copy, then steam has some built-in features to aid with Controller issues

If you want to use EnemyRando, the first time you have to go to Options > Mods and toggle Enemy Rando Off then On. Then quit Hollow Knight and restart it. Now your main menu will have a "RANDOMIZE" button, that will shuffle all of your enemies when you click it.

For Randomizer, make sure that you're using Randomzier3, and that you have Vasi installed

Hey, sorry to bother ya, 2 mates and I are setting up a multiworld server, we're at the ready screen where I can see their names and they can see mine, however when I start, or they start, it drags me into the game after a moment, but leaves them out. They're showing up in the multiworldserver.exe as well, do we just need to wait a while or is there something I'm doing wrong?

I literally do not know why it works. It seems to be something with EnemyRando specifically, and only the first time it's used. Restarting the game doesn't fix it unless you toggle it. Toggling it on it's own doesn't make the button appear.

yeah its not a problem of the custom skin not having geo textures the problem is sometimes when i swap skins geo just disappears in general even if i swap skins again

Mod installer shows an error message when I open it, but it still opens if I press continue. Only problem is it doesn't seem to display the mods I've installed. It's just a blank window with a button labelled "manually" in the top left corner.

You can try without running as Admin. It's possible though that that is why it's not working though- the Mod Installer may not have the ability to put the files into the right spots, if your account on the computer is restricted.

Hi, new here, and probably about to ask a common question, but the pinned posts, and a quick search didn't get me an answer. If I install a mod (I'm specifically looking for a randomizer) will it cause problems with my existing save file? Is this going to be a thing where I have to uninstall the mods each time I want to go back and push further into Godhome, then reinstall when I want to just mess around?

Rando might not affect existing saves but you probably shouldn't risk it. I suggest what you do is make a back up of your saves, installing and uninstalling mods is very easy and as long as you either don't care about your modded saves or wanna make backups of those too, then it should be a simple process. I do it all the time.

Hey so I had easy mode installed and after discovering godhome, Everytime I die outside of godhome, I get hardlocked in the floor in godhome. Is that....normal for the mod?

I don't really have a picture or the save file anymore but I just wanted to see if it was normal or if this was a issue that could be fixed for future users of the mod.

The only other mod on was the enemy health bar, and after turning that off, it still was happening. I did have the mods it installs before it installs easy mode on too because I thought it needed it to work

I have heard of a lot of problems with Easy Mode respawns recently. It's possible the mod is very outdated or something and no longer works.

Godhome may not have existed when the mod was made for example

Well what's weird is even when you set your spawn on a bench outside godhome, you end up in god home after dying. So the code could think that it's a permanent spawn point However that's not the only issue I found

When you enter a dream world, game crashes and you can't resort back to vanilla HK too. You have to completely uninstall the game and reinstall it to get back vanilla. I do think you're right tho. It's possible that easy mode might be outdated

I'm not a coder myself but maybe someone could update it at some point. Or it could be removed from the mod list to keep people's save files safe. As much as it was helpful. These issues can really put a dent in someone's experience of using the mod.

No. It seems to frequently happen when changing skins in any room with enemies, and especially in rooms with lots of them. Personally, I suspect that it may be related to the game pre-loading the Geo.

It was also mentioned once, that it was discovered that is a player has invisible geo, and then find a Geo Chest, that it seems to fix it. I've never gone and tested that though.

i was able to reproduce an instance of this by having geo on the ground and switching to another skin that did not have geo.png

i have a pre-release fix for this. seems to be working so far.

If you previously had a pirated copy, that will happen. Regardless, if you're on Windows you can reset the installer by using the Modinstaller_reset.bat file that's attached to the first pinned message.

If either of you have an unstable internet connection, or a spotty WiFi connection, that could also be the problem. Or if either Player doesn't have ModCommon iirc.

The only real troubleshooting would be just to look through the Procedure message, and double check that nothing's wrong. Outside of that, you'd probably need to join the server for that mod for better troubleshooting (which is linked in a tutorial video that fireb0rn made for it)
