In addition to the fix in the pins, If you were using DRPC, then you'll need to manually delete some files in your Mods folder (I think it's any file with ~~DRPC~` in the name, but tbh I've been gone almost every time it comes up, so I'm not 100% sure)
The file is

Csharp.ZipLib.dll or smth

Also, why do people always think that mod installer is the issue, when the issue is in their game? Are there games on which the installer itself does something? The handful of games I've modded have similar installers, that essentially just put things in the correct places, but don't actually do anything at runtime.

i had the custom mods working just fine with the skins but it seems to have stopped working as soon as put in a different mod https://www.moddb.com/games/hollow-knight/downloads/hollow-knight-invulnerability-1432 (this one found here)
everything still seems to be in place buuut maybe they're incompatible??

I cannot find any info or source for this mod on GitHub (which would allow me to easily check the source for obvious issues.) I won't invest much more effort due to working right now. If this is breaking mod compat then maybe another mod which does the 'same thing' would work for you. Try the DebugMod on ModInstaller (and remove this one) and use DebugMod's invincibility mode. That is an alternative.

HK won't recognize my controller's inputs, and i'm pretty sure it has something to do with mods, since i wasn't having issues with them before. I had the same issue with an older, since replaced controller, which i temporarily fixed by mapping the button inputs to keyboard buttons. I got a new controller in hopes it would fix, since the arrow key-joystick conversion is not very smooth. The controller is wired, and i'm on a mac if that matters

So, I ended up disabling Hollow Point and it works fine, I used that to get me out of where i was stuck. I've put Hollow Point back on and it wont work again. I've tried different charms, different levels of adrenaline, and nothing procs my Desolate Dive. Should I do a clean install? Remove DD with Debug and re add it? I dunno what to do, but I know I need DD to progress in several parts.

I've had an issue where attempting to place a dreamgate hardlocks my game. It will correctly fizzle out if I attempt to place a dreamgate where you can't place one, but hardlocks every time i attempt to actually place one

Fwiw, Rando works by randomly placing all of the items, and then checking if that worked; if not, then it does it again, and it keeps doing that until it works. If you do settings that have a big limitation, then you either need to let it load for a loooong time, or you can keep trying new seeds until one doesn't take forever to load.

It took me about a dozen attempts to find a "vanilla checks, room Rando" seed that didn't need to load for over a minute.

After you own the game, you'll need to delete the cracked version. Your saves won't be affected. Then reset the installer: info is in the pins pinknight
