So I'm not sure what I did, but I decided I'd finally try out a mod in Hollow Knight. I downloaded one mod, simple. But then it kept downloading a few others when i didn't want it to, and I tried stopping it and then it closed. Every time I try and open it I get this. And if I click continue it doesn't show me the list of mods

Hey here! I just beat the Soul Tyrant for the first time with the help of some modds (because I'm not good at the game but still like it, and want to play on "easy mode" before going for the hardest boss in the game), but I got a steam achievement for it - wich surprise me since my game is modded! Is this normal? I feel kinda bad, I didn't "earn" it like me previous ones on my normal save, the mods made the game way more easier than normal. Since I plan on doing Nighmare Grimm that way, it will sadden me if I got an achievement for it before beating him in the vanilla game, aka the "legit" way :/

Well, not using mod is not really an option, it's the only way I can bring myself to enjoy this wonderful game. I though Steam didn't give achievement in modded game, because it's no really fair ya know, it's kinda cheating? I wouldn't have been able to beat soul tyrant without them, so why should have the same achievement that all the other that did it in normal difficulty?

Well, I did, but It's becoming quite infuriating : I'm really not good at video games, and I don't really seek challenge in them (I have enough of those in my daily life haha), so dying again and again and having to travel all the way back accross the map, dying again in the process and loosing all of you your geo... Yeah that wasn't fun, and almost make me completly abandon the game for a few month. What's a "normal dfficulty" for an average player is hadmode for me, so mods where the way I found to re-balance my difficulty, and enjoy the game again.

It can work, if you were getting an error with it then check the pins. ModInstaller2 does the same stuff, but is just rebuilt and doesn't have all the convenience parts of ModInstaller1

You might be able to get away with 1 if the error can be fixed using what is pinned

Otherwise, there is no capacity for us to debug your issue without more info. If you see an error message or see any logfiles in the EXE directory please share them

does anyone have an issue with custom knight where the skins dont load? When i click on a skin, the knight doesnt disappear to reload the sprites and just stands there. It looks like the actual click is registering cause the menu disappears, but nothing actually happens. Ive redownloaded the mod multiple times and also checked the actual files

i dont think any of the skins have issues cause they all worked fine until a few weeks ago'

I'm gonna guess that maybe ModCommon got added after HK was launched already grubthink

Or that HK itself needed to restart for some reason.
Or that HollowPoint was disabled in the ModMenu, after being run with it on.

But since the mainmenu / pause menu was never screenshot, we'll never know

Yeah, that and when I try to install CustomKnight it says it can't access the Baldur shell file

System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file '\tmp\HKmodinstaller\hollow_knight_Data\Managed\Mods\CustomKnight\Default/Baldur.png' because it is being used by another process.
