I've already beat the game before, just tell me
If i install the Test of Teamwork mod, and use my main file, do i need a backup or can i switch freely from vannila to modded, or a bigger question does it seriously effect gameplay in any way

I changed Grimmchild’s number in the “charms” menu in debugmod, and now both grimmchild and carefree melody don’t work anymore. Is there a way to fix this? I was a dumb and didn't back up my saves

What did you change the number to
I changed to 4 to get grimmchild back, but grimmchild didn’t appear when I equipped it. So I changed it back to 5 to get carefree melody back, then took damage like 10 times to test it, and it didn’t activate at all.
Try changing it back to 4

@glass meteor clicking on "Out of Date" for Modding API installed it without errors (although i didn't open the game to check). when i unchecked "Installed?" to see if it would uninstall correctly, the program crashed :C

@glass meteor i could also see "Modding API" twice in the list and the error has to do with an index out of bounds which explains the issue, but not how the duplication happened
Happens to me sometimes, relaunch the Installer, should be installed
@glass meteor the mod was installed successfully though. i also tried qol right now and it does show up in the top-left menu when i enter the game :D

ok, but where do i access qol's menu to select what features i want? i can see the "Options -> Mods" menu in-game but it only allows me to enable/disable qol and nothing else
You have to open the save file location and edit the QoL.globalsettings.json

@glass meteor another list model state bug (i assume): if i go into the "Installed" sections, expand all of the mods' descriptions and then switch back to the "All" sections, the first N mods have their descriptions expanded
did you run the game with the mod installed?
did you look in the same folder in whcih the saves are stored (not where game files are stored)

the unlimited jump from the debug mod won't turn off after uninstalling it, and now I can always jump infinitely. I try reinstalling mods to see if I can turn it on, but downloading the mod installer makes everything go into a different language

I get the same error even though I moved the Modinstaller to the desktop (and deleted it from the download folder). I even did a restart and still get the same error

Speaking of pins, Mickely, would it be possible to get a pinned message that has the info from ?i, ?saves, and ?mods added. The old pinned message was removed when the Gdrive changed, but a new one was never added, and it seems like a good time to just make one easy-access message for all of them.
(Idk about anyone else, but I use ?mods a lot to pull up just a link to the summaries, and I'd rather just get it from the pins when I need it, instead of needing to type the command)
I thought i did. However i couldn't find any ".AU" file.
You may not have the AU file, but the more important part was deleting the folder that was in APPDATA

I use the commands to just get the link too. That's what they're there for. I don't want to add more pins for something that is already easy to get with a command. if everything that's currently pinned was in a command that'd be great to clean up the pins even more

I redid all the steps, started the ModInstaller (from Desktop) again. The Installer Menu opens (so thats progress from the error i had before) however i still cant install Custom Knight, it still says "central directory corrupted.
I have NOT run it as admin, i will try again. And to clearify I bought the game on steam.
I still get the same error. Also the download bar never appears fpr custom knight. It still works for "bonfire mod" (and i can also see the download bar progress)

yes i can dowanload it. I moved the files in the spot where my HK Data is located- However when i try to start Modinstalledr again it says thats it is outdated and when i tell him to update i get the giant blank window with no content

I'm fairly sure that all mods installed through modinstaller are virus free. Anything your AV says is likely a false positive past that.

I've an issue with thed debug mod, I have it installed in my game, and I can see the gui when I press F1, but I have no idea how to work it.. if I try clicking anything with my cursor in the esc menu, nothing happens

cool, so to unbind you just delete the corresponding values in both the key/value arrays
just change the value
if you delete something, it'll just be generated by the mod as default again
so change the value to Unbound
or blank

okay so tl;dr solution for anyone else -
Just delete the files, restart game, load back up, do whatever you want with bindings
So I've run into a bit of an issue where modding the game completely stops my controller from working. It's completely fine in vanilla, not so much as soon as I enable any mod at all. I saw this was a frequent issue in the pins, but trying to plug it in on the main menu screen didn't help. Are there any other solutions I could try?

I'm not expecting that to work, given I need to circumvent any attempt by Steam to take charge of my controller; my driver and Steam's own implementation just end up fighting over it.

Well, no luck. I did realise though that the game still recognises the controller (i.e., the rebind menu shows up in the options), but is somehow not detecting any input. What a shame.

so i had mod installer and i use the randomiser 3.0 but it wasnt randomising enemys and i thought maybe there was a qol mod that was stopping that so i uninstalled a bunch of mod incuding this one weird one that didnt have a read me text thing, and then i got nervous like "if this doesnt hae a read me then its got to be important!" so i tried to reinstall it but it came up with this prpmpt, i dont know if i you can post images here but it says "unhandeled exception has occured in aplication, if you click ontinue, the application will ingore error and attempt to continue, if you click quit, the aplication with close, sequence contains no matching element" and when i press quit it closes the box but when i try to open the mod installer it come up with this message again so i cant access mod installer and when i press continue it wants me to go through my files and manually select the mod i want to install and its liek ???????????? anyways please help

i mean you can rebind them in the debug menu, but that's the nuclear option if you've bound left mouse button to die or something
What's the mods that Rusty and Relyea use that allows you to teleport places, get charms, materials, etc.? I don't know if this is vague. I'm new to the modding scene.

Go to your mods folder and find the poorly Translated mod. Then change the name from a .zip to a .dll (you'll need to check the see file extension box in the view tab)

@gloomy coral it works now! something to maaaybe fix is the fact that it takes like 2 seconds for the hp to disappear
which messes up some quick kills and cycles i want to train

The file "user1.dat" is your save file for the top save slot. User2-4 are the others in order.

then just put the userX.dat to your saves folder with X being save number
eg google drive
And go to the save files location listed above for windows
The number reflects the slot it's in in your game
So you can put them in any number you like

And if you wanna take a save file out of the list without deleting it just change it's name to have a number bigger than 4, or some word describing it so you can find it later

assuming you have nail 0 then you change the value*(without strength)* to 5
just give yourself alot of nail damage and rush through them
save edit with just changing 1 value isn't to difficult

i changed my nail damage, after that put it back to normal, and cheked if it was correct in the save but for some reason in theory i have 21 nail damage but i dont kill the enemies i should at 1 attack
Did you save edut to change nail damage or use debug?

Remove both those and then make nail damage 21
in the save or with debug mod?
If you save edit then the charms dont matter
i set it in the save to 20 and then again to 21 and didnt worked
