I'm trying to do a Hollow Point x Item Rando run (using Randomizer 3 as called in the installer), but when i spawn in i dont have the gun - is the gun part of the rando and i have to find it, or is there an incompatibility with the two mods? i swear ive seen people do runs with the gun out the get-go

Any attempt to insert a single mod, including just Common to run other mods, corrupts the game, even with latest installer just downloaded and used, and even after i purge installer from my system entirely before redownloading it.

it's just a copy/paste tool program

if your saves are not loading, you need to do what I said and go to your save file location in your appdata folder and delete those two files

I thought maybe re installing the installer would fix any issue based on that but maybe the data for that is stored some where I don't know and or somehow read even when reinstalled fresh..

Get the modding api from the google drive

Extract it somewhere

#

Go inside and copy the .dll file. Replace the file in the hk installation with the same name with it

#

Make a “mods” folder next to the file you replaced

#

Put mods in that folder

#

Just download a mod, extract the zip, then take the dll and put it in the mods folder

#

You need to make sure you have the steamappid file, such I'm not sure if part of the regular install

If you don't, then the exe just tells steam to open the original version of the game you have on Steam

Can you double check the file path again. People often have an extra folder (custom Knight\skin name\another folder with the skin name\Knight.PNG) which is incorrect and will show the skin but not do anything

I have it, i have the mid air inventory etc, for the spirit skip, its like in greenpath skip in speedruns, it also caused me some issues in 1 space spike tunnels where you have to hit under you then dash right away, it feels like i have a delay between actions

So I am downpatching hollow knight on steam and I have done this before where I did it to 1.2.2.1 but this time I am doing it to 1.0.2.8 and I am doing everything the exact same but when I load it it loads it at the most up to date version

I need help. So, I've successfully modded hk, now I can't revert back to vanilla. the api says to verify game files because it can't find vanilla hk. When I verify the game files it says "1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired. I've even deleted the api and the mods from the hk folder. How do I revert back to vanilla?

poorly translated's file structure is weird. either grab it from the google drive and use the manual install button, or after getting the error, go into your game files in the mod folder and change the file ending from .zip to .dll and it'll run
